[ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [05/23/11]

For what it's worth, yesterday I flashed 2/6 over 2/5 via:
- wipe dalvik
- flash rom
- flash fr-boot... (i've been running Firerat's mod)
- wipe dalvik
- reboot

Everything's running fine. Some observations:
- battery life blows compared to aosp.9.9.2, with which I believe my setcpu profiles played a large role. I haven't changed kernel or added any 'batt tweak', just 'stock' 2/6 w/ Firerat's mod
- had setcpu running with 2/5, phone ran like poo. Could be in how I had it setup though. Anyone else see this ? Things seem better now, but haven't added setcpu yet.

Working fine here, battery about the same have noticed much of a difference, I did the same went from 02/05 to 02/06 with the same process wiped DC before and after flash, the only issue I had yesterday and it resolved itself, was by Market was not showing any of my app downloads, I had check and cleared cache in the manage applications, but could not wipe the data as there was none, so what I did do was wipe the data through Titanium BU and after that still did not have any apps showing, but a few hours later they were back. My apps were always showing up in the manage apps in the download section simply not in the market, so I am inclined to believe maybe the market was having issues yesterday, anyways it is fine now. ;)

I always had the same issue and it always resolved itself in due time, strange:confused:

Ok, so I flashed the 2/6 build over the 2/1(or 2) build last night and have 160MB total space and 88.38MB Available Space. I'll be clearing caches later and free up a little space. Not too shabby :)

if i flash this new radio do i have to wipe everything again and flash the rom again or could i just flash the radio and thats it?

Are you a Sprint Hero owner, if so....do this
Download the radio
Boot to recovery
Do not wipe anything
Flash the radio
(Just fyi, it will do some crazy booting but everything's fine)
Reboot phone

It should be noted that a full, or near full, battery is highly suggested. You don't want the phone to lose battery in the middle of the process.

thanks guys, i will flash the new radio as soon as i get my phone charged....good thing i waited for a reply lol

just wondering is there an app for these forums? just wondering, it would be nice to have on my phone, im constantly learning something new here lol

Are you using a OC app (setcpu or other), or just letting the rom handle it?

Mishandling my numbers may have resulted in my 2/5 GB install being laggy. I think I had the rom max set to 691Mhz peak, but setcpu max set to 768Mhz peak. Perhaps this resulted in some issues (don't know, out of my element here).

With aospv0.9.9.2 I was using the pretty standard (I think) setcpu profiles:
- screen off peak 260ishMhz
- batt <20% 400ishMhz
- temp >40C 512Mhz
otherwise 768Mhz max

the phone always ran great, and I usually was still in the green (battery life) at the end of the day. something I haven't had before or since that rom and setcpu profile combo. I am no slouch on day to day phone usage.

not quite able to make it through the day, with GB 2/6 (no setcpu yet). been pretty consistent yellow, red or dead (battery life) at the end of then day.

Nope simply letting the Rom handle it for now, have VM heap @ 36 and instead of using Setcpu I am using the CM Settings and have the performance settings in CPU set @ 691 and 176

anyone getting a lot of lag on 2.3? I think my phone was running about as slow as it did on stock sense. I had my OC set the same as froyo, and it just seemed to take forever for things to open

i did when i was running 2/5 w/ setcpu. now i'm running 2/6 w/out setcpu and it's better.

we've been chatting a little about this on this page of the thread. start w/ my post from today (02/09/11) at 3:43am.

ok im still on the 2/5 build and i got 2 questions

1. What does being Sync'd with CM source do? Is it something that will help the developers fixing bugs or something else? I mean its not a big deal id like to have a way to send little bugs that pop up during the day to the developers just to help them make an awsome rom. (EDIT: TOTALLY AWSOME ROM!!) or even if there was something that acted like a black box and told them what i was doing the few seconds before something crashed on the phone and why it crashed. even if i had to upload a file everyday.

2. well when i first flashed the 2/5 build i had the CRT Animations well i rebooted and then they were gone. I have been through soooo many settings and cant find out how to turn them back on. Its nothing thats going to kill me i just thought "wow thats a pretty damned cool animation" then i was like wtf its gone.
