What do you expect the average BB employee to tell you? A buddy of mine is working at a local store today. He said he'd check on things for me.

Its a testament to how completely cra**y Circuit City was that they went out of business and their main competition was BB. This is what happens without competition.

Does VZW have any control over HTC shipping the phones to BB?

At this juncture in the game, I would say that the only thing BB is guilty of is not keeping their employees in the loop enough, so that they can convey hold ups accurately. I dont remember BB ever officially going on record publicly with a date, so im not sure they are the right people to raise pitchforks at. Just my opinion.![]()
You are def correct when it comes to CC just saying too bad their is no competition.
As of this writing, the ad is displayed on the web WITHOUT correction. I am going to the store later to see if there is a correction posted in store. Either way, since the web ad does NOT display a correction, I will be filling out the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs complaint form (linked below). This, IMO, clearly falls under the "deceptive practices" category in the state statutes.
I don't expect to get my phone. What I do hope is that if enough of us file, Best Buy will point the finger where the REAL blame for this is, and we can get some kind of official comment.
