Best Buy Details

As of this writing, the ad is displayed on the web WITHOUT correction. I am going to the store later to see if there is a correction posted in store. Either way, since the web ad does NOT display a correction, I will be filling out the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs complaint form (linked below). This, IMO, clearly falls under the "deceptive practices" category in the state statutes.

I don't expect to get my phone. What I do hope is that if enough of us file, Best Buy will point the finger where the REAL blame for this is, and we can get some kind of official comment.

As someone who just recently came from most people agree is the WORST carrier AT&T and having left the Iphone to take the android plunge with the TB I'm beginning to wonder if I made the right decision. VZW seems as screwed up as ATT. Hopefully this is not a portent of things to come will just wait and see. As far as complaining about deceptive practices I totally agree with the previous post.
 
Oh I expect nothing from the average to even above average employee at BB but still should hold their feet to the proverbial fire.

Please let us know what you find out. I guess the only thing I can say is that yes I'm mad and want my phone, but I did it to myself when I expected to get it and they haven't even announced a release date.:(
 
Its a testament to how completely cra**y Circuit City was that they went out of business and their main competition was BB. This is what happens without competition.
 
Hold on as a new poster I certainly don't want to offend anyone especially if you earn a living at the BB but PLEASE BB is great come on!!! No they don't have control over VZW but they do have control over when to offer pre-orders, and when and what to place in their ads. At this point you think they would have figured out that VZW is playing some game with this release and not continued to play it with them.

I'm pretty sure that Circuit City was as craptastic as they were going to get, competition or not.:)

I'm going to assume you're talking about my complaint for a minute...

I love Best Buy. I often travel 40 minutes to the Best Buy in Deptford, NJ because it is one of the best staffed, best stocked store with the most knowledgeable and helpful staff and management I have ever had the pleasure of buying from. The point isn't to spank Best Buy, the point is to get the sh*t to flow UPHILL. We all know where that leads...:rolleyes:

At this juncture in the game, I would say that the only thing BB is guilty of is not keeping their employees in the loop enough, so that they can convey hold ups accurately. I dont remember BB ever officially going on record publicly with a date, so im not sure they are the right people to raise pitchforks at. Just my opinion.:)

People are just angry the phone isnt out yet, and that's fair enough.

no I wasn't but now I am, you don't look good doing something like that. The correction is clearly posted in the store. The plan all along was to have the phone, but verizon is the reason, so why wouldn't you post a complaint about them?

best buy never gave a release date so...
