Yep, I couldn't really fathom Sprint going to the trouble of adopting a Nexus S that will likely be 6 months old before they put it on the shelves, on WiMAX, when there's all this talk about leap-frogging to LTE.
Unless they're done with Samsung's lack of update nonsense and it's the Epic replacement.
As for Nexus M vs. Nexus S -- well, they're giving us Kyocera love and an Evo 3D, so anything's possible.
And you'd want this?
Motorola Shadow is Nexus Two with sliding QWERTY keyboard? -- Engadget
Don't you think there's too much red on screen?
lol, no, not that. I was thinking more along the lines of the Atrix with an unlocked bootloader, running vanilla Android, with Wimax.

[Blind item] Next Nexus will be Motorola - Android Forums
That is the site admin of a pretty reputable site posting that his source says a Motorola Nexus device is in the works (from January of this year, just 2 months ago).
I have almost convinced myself that this is imminent, lol. It all adds up.
First, we have Sprint announcing they will indeed carry the Nexus One:
Nexus One Coming Soon to Sprint

Then Sprint cancels their version of the Nexus One (presumably because of the Evo):
Sprint Drops Plan to Offer Google's Nexus One
Then we see all the rumors about the Nexus S coming to Sprint:
Sprint announcing Nexus S 4G, EVO 3D, and EVO View tablet at CTIA? -- Engadget
And now the rumors that sprint is set to announce a Wimax version of the Atrix.
So we know Sprint has planned on launching a Nexus device in the past. They changed their mind at the last minute, but they did plan on releasing it, even issuing an official press release that it was coming.
And we have rumors that there is a new Nexus device about to be announced for the Sprint 4G network. That is entirely plausible.
Combine that with the rumor that the next Nexus device would be a Motorola, and things get pretty interesting. And the rumor that Sprint is getting the Atrix makes it even more interesting.
Now there are a lot of what ifs and variables in all of this, and it is almost based entirely on rumors. But it still doesn't seem all that far fetched.
Of course, I want this to happen so badly that it is probably clouding my perceptions a bit.
This would be quite the bombshell though. Imagine Sprint announcing an Evo 3D, some awesome HTC tablet that we know nothing about yet, and a new nexus device based on the Atrix- all at the same time. They would totally own CTIA, without question.
