What features do you want on the Evo 2?

I also don't believe they will enable drm to work on original evo. I thought Qualcomm said it was embedded in the soc rather than a software upgrade to run netflix. I guess we'll find out today.Either way, its shaping up to be a hell of a phone

There are no fps caps period. vid capture for 720p/1080p/3d720p/1080p/video playback of POV2D/3D/ H2.64 etc movies/Streaming 1080p/720p via DLNA/android games.

Stressed test all the above formats, load was nominal, need for fps caps non issue.

BSOD(>-_0<)

Excuse me for being skeptical but for the fact the BlueScreen got some of the most basic things wrong already like the phone having a 3.0mb camera and obviously now we got confirmed leaks thats not true and also I read where he said that there will be no HTC or Sprint log on the front and A picture has been posted on sprint website that definatelly has a logo I really don't think I will believe anything he says going forward. I think those two things are proof enough that he is absolutelly clueless.

Apparently the Evo 3D site from Speint spilled the look. Not giddy, follows Thunderbolt and Evo Shifts scheme slightly at the top. Didn't BlueMoon also say they maxed out real estate and there wasn't any room for htc or sprint at the top? Unless these are all Sprint's hardware changes. They've always been pretty bad at picking good hardware. Ie giving Hero bland grey and very corporate look instead of the futuristic one it was originally. HTC handsets are starting to all very look similar in aesthetics other than thr screen, of coarse carriers can be blamed aswell. Anyways seems he told the truth about the camera button it -seems.-

Here: Sprint | HTC EVO 3D

dkotoric, before bashing BlueScreen have you even taken a close look and realized that is a picture of the current Evo? It has already been stated that it is not 100% finalized yet and some things most likely will change, plus Sprint probably does not want the phones design released till after the announcement today.

And what "confirmed" leaks are you referring to? Did Sprint come out and say "Yeah, thats it, you got the scoop on us"? Are you seeing something we are not?

Well weather it has been stated or not, but the picture on sprints website is definatelly NOT the current evo. Save the picture to your computer and blow it up and you will find several differences, like front camera being in a slight different locating the grill is not a hole. Also the current evo does not have anything underneath the volume buttons and obviously the evo on sprints site does. Please before you start bashing do some work except just reading what everyone else tells you is the answer.

Also as far as the leaks, I have been following engadget and other sites for years an usually when engadget posts any specs as confirmed its is 99% correct. I'd say I trust them more then some random person in a forum.

I was not bashing you, merely asking for confirmation and that you not bash others.

You are right, after closer inspection it does look slightly different, but don't be surprised if it changes a little, it's not over till the fat lady sings.

It is possible BSOD was working on prototype EVO 3d that had a 3mp camera and they changed that recently.

All I know is last year he was pretty dead on accurate when he released info on the original EVO

yeah and when he talked about the screen taking up all the surface and no logo on the front for sprint or htc anymore that resembles the look of the Desire HD(one on the right evidently) a lot. based on description alone. All will be told in a few hours though.

whats that have to do with the evo 3d, the one on sprints site has logos

From what I've read, he's part of a software team so he has a pre-production phone... HTC/Sprint might have gone with what they could fit into the phone but due to cost and other issues, specs on the phone would change.

I also remember him saying that the leaks say 1.3mp ffc, but don't be surprised if it's different because his phone had a 3mp ffc. It wasn't something he was saying would change... He was only telling us what his pre-prod phone had.

Lot's of things could change from what he posted by the time everyone signs off on this phone.... I think mostly for the worst, but some, possibly, for the better.

As for what I want from this phone ... I want it to have both LTE and WiMax. Because if I chose to stay with Sprint, I don't want to be stuck on WiMax when they make the switch to LTE, especially since Sprint no longer allows annual upgrades for the majority of us.

I believe the point is that they can indeed remove the logos, some of us thought that the powers that be wouldnt allow such a thing. Also the phone doesnt release for months. Just because a pic popped up on sprint in march doesnt mean thats what the phone looks exactly like in July. We'll find out soon how much of what BSOD said was true, till then quit trolling.

But even if he has a pre production unit do you think the whole design of the phone would change this late. I mean comon, he clearly said there was no space for the logo on top. From what I see on sprints site, there is allot of space.

Ok agree. +1

i think i hear her warming up...

it does look like bluescreen had somethings wrong...hopefully not too much more bad info...

Yeah i would hope they have frozen somem aspects by now like gpu, processors, stuff like that, hopefully just little tweaks like this camera thing. I dont really care what the front camera does, do i really want to take pictures of my self? the only one it amuses is my gf when i hand her my phone.

Only that wasn't Engadgets source nor report. They do have some exclusive ones but then you'd see an engadget watermark on them. There's a "source" link at the end of every article. Their just re-reporting what BGR's inside source leaked to BGR. Also the apparent CTIA announcement schedule thing yesterday was from pocketnow.

Moving on it seems like Blue does work for HTC. As he just about comfirms himself he isn't involved with manufacturing and from the sound of it works on software and has an internal phone. Once its in Sprint's managements hands they can make several changes.

I already gave one example, HTC's Hero being modified for Sprints and whatever they've specified(And why HTC changed the red earpiece on the Evo when at release). They decided to give it a very bland corporate look. Another example is changing the HTC Diamond's unique back a few years ago to some rubber burgandy. Rest of the carriers released it mostly intact to original design.

Sprint was probably given the base phone and told HTC what they wanted tweaked. Namely they -HAVE- to have a bigass Sprint logo on the front. And if they have to put Sprint logo on one corner I bet they figure why not have HTC too.

I'd say its more Sprint's fault if you dislike the modifications.

sprint and all carriers change some visual keys.. but not over all size...

they may make change requests.. but htc must approve it.. and vise versa...

As some of us that followed the Droid X rumors before it launched learned, Engadget and other sites sometimes got their info from some random person on a forum.

You would be surprised who some of these random persons on a forum are. Some of them have some very inside info on these phones and tablets that no one else has.

Some people may not have been around last year, but the Evo launch solidified BlueScreen as a good source of information for most of us. Sure, he wasn't right about everything he said, but it was obvious he had product knowledge prior to release. I don't question his info for a sec. If they changed, they changed, but that doesn't mean he was making anything up.

Also, is it just me, or does the bezel around the Evo 3D look thicker (like the Shift) than the Evo?

Well I was here during last years BlueScreen stuff to and while I agree that last year he almost got everything right, I don't see the case this year. What has gotten me suspicios is the size of the phone being different then what he says.

Also to me the bezel doesn't look any thicker, looks about the same, Just my opinion.
