When my upgrade finally comes June 2012, I'm going off the grid with two Campbell soup cans and a very long string.
What are you, some kind of technology freak?
I'm going back to smoke signals.

I will be tempted by the Galaxy S II.
Right now, that's the only phone that tempts me. A9 binned higher than the Tegra 2, and Samsung finally fixed their crappy pentile matrix on the SAMOLED. If they fixed the GPS as well, which it seems like they have, that's a quality phone.
If I can resist the lures of the GS2, I'll probably wait and see if Motorola really releases the rumored vanilla Android Targa phone.
I'm in the same boat with a lot of "X" owners. We aren't eligible to upgrade until 3/12. However, even if I was able to upgrade now, I wouldn't. There just isn't anything that cranks my handle available now. Also, I do know that my next phone will be 4G capable. That and the fact that LTE won't be available here in Hawaii until late 2011. (Acording to Verizon) Actually LTE is available at the Honolulu International Airport, but I'm about 15-17 miles away so I'm not even in the extended 4G area.
I really like my Droid X. (A wise man told me, "Don't love anything that can't love you back")
So by 3/12 there should be some awesome LTE phone available from Verizon and that's the phone I'll be carrying.... Faster than a speeding bullit, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound..... well, maybe not that last one. I'm looking forward to it though....
See all you Droid X launch day buyers there....
Jaiotu, that fantasy phone could come later this year or by the summer 2012. You might not have to wait til the end of 2012.
It's mostly here already. The Galaxy S II is 1.2ghz dual core, FFC, 4G, 1gb memory and USB OTG.
iPhone 5. if they come out with a 4G S, Im hanging with my X till the 5th gen.
I just cant stand the sh*tty quality and feel of these phones, I love the fit & finish of the iphone. I hate how buggy the android system is as well. I never ONCE had to reset my ipod touch cause it was frozen, I have had to do it MULTIPLE times on this POS android/windows bull. Laggy at times (I dont even have much of anything on my phone) just is typical Windows crap

I think the reason you have so few responses thus far is because most of us DX users don't see a compelling reason to switch yet. I know I don't.![]()
If I was upgrading today, I would go with the TBolt or the Charge. If it was this summer, I would be looking at the Bionic (whatever it is) or the SGII. Alas, I don't get to upgrade till March 2012. The good thing is a lot of the phones that will be shown off at CES 2012 should be available by then.
I'm on a 1 year contract which expires in July so I'm up for an upgrade. No more 1 year contracts so I'm trying to decide whether to buy the Droid Charge at full price or to upgrade and buy the SGS2 or Bionic at full price![]()

relative to the android system, iOS is a swiss fcking watch. Pure GOLD.

for you id say get the charge full retail since its cheaper than the other 4g phones, and then use your upgrade for the bionic or SGS2 since those will most likely be more expensive
