First of all, thank you you to everyone who has helped me with all my questions thus far. You guys have made modding my phone extremely fun, and user friendly.
So here is my question. I am running the CM6 version that is one build behind the current release. I was wondering how I would go about updating to the latest version of CM6? Do i need to wipe everything and flash the rom like i did with my current CM6 build? Or is there a way to update and keep all of my settings/customizations I have done on the build that I have?

Thanks again for responding Nuttmeg. But I only want to go to the latest build of CM6, not move to CM7. That thread has instructions on how to install Cm6/ from stock rom. But I would just like to update my current version of CM6 to the latest build of CM6. I was wondering if I had to repeat the process layed out in the thread you linked, or if i could somehow keep my settings/customizations I have already done in this version

If you restore your data, be sure to read EVERY step...I made the mistake and didnt go into Advanced restore and ended up restoring everything..

you forgot about cm6 is also overclock to 710 and the metro version isnt, and all bloatware is gone, SD Speed Increase....

Umm... I think he was talking about the different builds of CM6.
I didn't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers, I think cm6 is so awesome, actually I was getting a little jealous of all the threads I see for cm7. I think it's 99% complete too, now that the autorotation problem is history. Has anyone used the spare parts plus app, I need to know a few things about it.

so my mod, the latest version of cm6 can never tell the right time, and i tried to do it manually but when i reboot it changes. and yes i went to the settings and pressed online, but still no good

Put the phone into "AIRPLANE MODE",then:
1) Go to SETTINGS>DATE & TIME
2) Make the necessary adjustments
3) Take phone out of 'AIRPLANE MODE' & you should be good to go.

So I am on cm6 and I just noticed (I think I'm kinda late lol) but when I hold down the screen on my home screen and select wallpapers, I do not see live wallpapers.can I get them back so I can have live wallpaper again like I did with cm7 and stock?

browse google for the live wallpaper.apk and use the market to download live papers...

I want cm6 but i dont think my ascend can handle it or something, flashed 421 version with lp, using 2.xxxx and 3.xxxxx and both times it worked for a bit then started rebooting over and over and wifi worked....sigh back to imod which is great, just wanted 2.2 and netflix....

After googling for a while, and reading several different forums, I have become thoroughly confused as to how to apply a theme to CM6.
What I want to do: Change the icons on my status bar, just my status bar. If it is possible to do just that, then I'll try and apply a theme. If the theme themes EVERYTHING about my phone, deleting my own customizations, then I'd rather not.
I'm looking for a rather simple way, as I have no idea about programming/coding. I heard Metamorph works, but also have read on the forums here that metamorph crashes phones with froyo or higher.
Any help would be appreciated.

Let me start by saying CM6 is AWESOME. Way faster than stock. I was rooted and overclocked, with TiBu for several months and enjoyed the benefits of that, but decided to take the plunge and move forward about a week ago.
Biggest thing I am dealing with is notifications. I can't get my calendar or alarm to sound when I set them to. I use my calendar A LOT to help me keep on top of things (Dr. appointment for the kids,volunteer ambulance shifts/meetings, school, etc.)
It seems like my phone isn't keeping the time while the screen is off. When ever I have the screen locked/off for more then a couple minutes, the next time I unlock it the time is still what it was when I locked it. Say I'll set my alarm for 7 am, at 10 pm when I go to bed. I wake up at 7:45 wondering why my alarm hasn't gone off. I'll unlock my phone and it still says 10 pm as the time for about a second, then it jumps to the current time, and about 2 seconds later my alarm starts going off.
I have gone through every setting I can find, both in the calendar, alarm and general settings trying to figure something out. I thought maybe it was because I had data turned off, so I made sure it was on last night....same result. Any ideas?
Also, is there a way to calibrate the touch screen? Mine has always been a little off (what highlights isn't always where I actually touched) but its been a bit worse since I flashed to CM6. I had a problem in the market a couple days ago where it was opening and installing an app I REALLY didn't want it to because it registered taps way far away (like and inch) from where I was tapping.

So i had a few questions about cm6, with its latest build, so here they are:
1.Can the DT method work with cm6? because i want to move my apps and dalvic code to my SD card.
2.Is there any other themes for the top bar? I only saw white and Black in the settings.
3.Where can i find my livewallpaper? i do not see it when i hold down the screen and hit wallpapers. How can i get that opton back?

That feature was in the previous rom before the latest, was overclocked to 710, standard. The only thing that I see in the latest is the addition of sd speedincrease, I added that beforehand, and trying out so many solutions to fix the autorotation bug, I settled on autorotation control from the market, (learned about that from myascend), and haven't been disappointed yet, it truly solved that. I am trying out diffrent cpu control apps to see which one will save the battery the most, cause everything works fine, almost a perfect rom for this phone. I don't really feel the need for CM7, THIS ONE RUNS GREAT!
