Why wont the market work on CM7 light? Recently I've been avoiding driving over cattle grids. Hello.

it does
im on cm7 light with 3mb cache and i use market as normal downloading big things
im wondering if your sdcard is still borked even though its a newish one
reason i mention this is it seems you have loads of issues with whatever roms you use
FC issues on miui, market issues on light
myself and hadron are on 7.0.3 light with no problems on market at all
That does sound like the cache full problem.
With a 5MB cache it should have bound /data/local/download to /cache/download (from memory) and use that for market - I know mine does
You sure? The mountdl script I have can't do that - it just checks cache partition size at boot and makes a link if too small.Yes, it does this if the app is bigger than 5MB. If its smaller, regardless of how much space is on /cache, it will download to cahce regardless so if that partition is full, you wouldnt be able to download apps smaller than 5MB
You aren't using a data2sd, or similar features of DT beta? That could bring SD into the mix.
Otherwise I don't know. Usually these things happen with /caches large enough that the mountdl script doesn't trigger, i.e. 20MB or larger.

How big is your cache and how much space?
90 system 3 cache

I just downloaded a 56kB widget as a test, and the apk went into /data/local/download.
But /cache/download is bound to /data/local/download - look there & you'll see it too.Yep, mines does. Just downloaded an 892.55KB file, its in cache/download/downloadfile.apk
So that sounds like the mountdl script has worked - it fools QSI that way.Internal storage and system cache both have exactly the same values!!!
i mean whats your current mtd layout
i have 83 system cos i stripped a load of shit out
