Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

For some reason after going to yesterday's nightly from build #6 I lost the fancy battery icon in the notification bar for the stock android one. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the CM7 one back? I've tried each of the themes that comes with the phone and none of them work to bring it back.

It's a setting - look under the Cyanogenmod settings.

This change in last nights nightly (25) allows you to now use the CRT animation with the windows animations and transition animations, in spare parts, set at any speed.

Make screen-on and screen-off animations independent from system animation settings

CM Settings-> Interface->Status Bar Tweaks -> Check Battery Percentage

oh I thought there was something to where you could change the battery icon. I hate the ones people use in themes. I like the circle ones. I guess i'll have to try to metamorph one in or something.
thx for the path, I was looking for something different though.

have the LED lights been fixed yet?

Mine never flashed, they always stayed on solid no matter what.

I think I just figured this out by messing with mine.

Under LED Notification colors and then Advance, Blend Notifications has to be checked and then my notification LEDs are working correctly.

I tried to get fm radio working. so i installed spirit fm per the post in another forum.
i plugged in my head phones and the little head phone icon appeared in the task bar.
but now no matter what i do, the head phones icon doesn't work and it wont go away from my task bar.
I tried to uninstall spirit fm and i even re flashed everything. but no luck. head phones icon is still there and the audio comes out the speaker.. it's like it's stuck in head phone mode, but the audio still comes out the speaker..

anyone have any suggestions?

edit: nevermind. appears to have gotten stuck, i ended up putting a small screw driver down there and moving it around and once it became unstuck, i rebooted.. it's been fine..
I have inserted and removed the headphones 2 dozen times and it's worked fine every time.

i guess it's possible i have a hardware issue, but i'm hoping it was a software bug

I got a little piece of dirt or something in my headphone jack one time, it wedged the contacts apart just enough that the mic and speaker didn't work unless I had it in speakerphone mode. Just like you said, I put a little pick in there and it fixed the problem, had me buggin out pretty good for a while, though.

I don't understand why people worry so much about it being called a beta or an alpha......does it really matter? I don't think so.

Hey is there a GPS fix yet?
once I get gps working I will be very happy with cyanogen, i thought i remembered reading about a possible solution but I can't seem to find it

ok so i'm still on the initial beta and I haven't flashed any of the nightlies can i flash right to the news nightly? and do I have wipe data or anything, do I also need to reflash gapps and the camera and camcorder fix?

@ VS: No worries, I was just more confused than anal :)

@ bouchigo: The way I see it is Alpha=Works but some bugs may compromise main features, Beta=in working order with some minor bugs that may be a hindrance to some and Full Release=works with little to no bugs. As far as what all of this means to me is that I get to try stuff earlier :P

if any of you have ever ran a Windows beta......., well the CM74DX beta puts them to shame if you wanna cry about what dont work lol.
