Bloat I can deal with, especially with 1GB of RAM to play with. But if Verizon scraps the Prime and I have to go buy a damn Bionic, I'm gonna be apoplectic. SURELY they have people monitoring the forums and know how much excitement there is for this phone: it's not like they're gonna lose money on it!
No one said they were scrapping the prime, though. Did they?
No.............No one said they were scrapping the prime, though. Did they?
no, but r.i.p. sounds ominous, no?
No.............
LOLI don't like the "........'s" at the end of your "no"![]()
I'm confused. I'm tired. I'm frustrated. I'm a bit disappointed......I'm going to bed. Have this all cleared up for me by the morning, please and thank you.
LOL
they are my 10char's![]()
I have a question... IF this phone is not a pure android phone, meaning VZW fills it with bloat... does that also mean updates will be dependent on Samsung?
While I would prefer no bloat, rooting and removing it is not a massive inconvenience... but regarding Samsung's history with updates I may just go with the HTC Vigor... especially on a new version of Android which will have more than a few bugs during the early months.

I'm starting to think that P3Droid just found out what many of us already thought to be true, that the Prime is going to be bloated like a body that's been in the river for a month.I don't think anything has changed on Prime. If it was canceled there would be a lot of chatter. There's nothing.
But if it doesn't have ICS out of the box, Prime is dead to me. I can only put up with so much.
. . . . . If Black_Man_X is hyping up the season with "lots of stuff and goodies", then Prime won't be the only player this year. As much as I want to retire the Droid, she may have to string along faithfully for even longer now![]()
Guys guys guys guys! What're you talking about! Take your own OG DROI in the hand and look at this. Does it have any bloat? Are there any even tiny modifications to the UI or OS? Think a while..! Prime (if this is Nexus) will not have any smallest peace of modification. Why? Because this is google. Google rules here, and if Verizon wanted to shame their flagship device they would rather kick them in the middle of the ass - and take their beast back to the office. Believe me - if it has any bloatware - this is not Nexus Prime, and you will not have to care about it than. ;-) Believe me.
When it comes right down to it, I don't think many of us care whether what we get is a true Nexus device or not. I know I don't.
All I want is:
ICS
HD screen at least 4.3" that is smooth and vibrant
LTE
1.2GHz or faster
1 GB RAM or larger
At least 16GB freed up for storage
semi-decent battery life
non-brick form design
unlocked bootloader (but not a deal breaker)
easily rooted
That's it. Whether it's a true Nexus device or not, I could care less. I just want this phone, sooner rather than later.
Uuuu.. so you now showed me something i didn't expect... We're here because of the Nexus brand! That's all now!
