Root [ROM][YACR] CM 7.1-Reppard

Having the black screen issues, I have an original 2.2 and both novatek commands give me information, yet the black screen remains constant and now my phone has begun to reboot randomly... I didnt have this issue before.. :(

Both novatek commands?
you cant have two screens in your phone
if yours is 2.2 its a novatek screen
so your stuck like a few others for now.
 
I dont get why the screen off animation works in the previous release..just not the on..
if the drivers can do one..but not the other

Im glad i have a 2.2 phone..its so easy..Im trying to root a 2.2.2 phone and its a pain!

It has to have something to do with how the display is woken up. Which would explain why live wall papers made the screen lag go away when coming out of sleep mode.
 
I never even noticed that...You know what else is funny. When i have a live wallpaper on reboot it plays notification sounds for voicemail.
With static wallpaper.it plays that annoying default beep

Hey I'm just helping bobz who asked people to try it. I tried both commands, and both gave me results instantly. If u want I can post screenshots and video of it as proof. I typed in both, I got stats back....
 
Ok so I have found a workaround if you would like to use this Rom and you are one of the user's like me and have the black screen no matter if its booted using this latest version.

All you have to do is download this Rom and then download PlaufulGods Plague kernel from his thread.

1.Reboot into recovery.

2.wipe data(cache,etc.)

3.Flash this Rom.

4.Then flash PlayfulGods plague kernel.

Then reboot. Should fix problem until Reppard fixes our problem :D

i know reppard updated the ROM on 9.15.11 and i have the version before that. to update, do i wipe all first then flash, or can i just reflash the ROM and delete delvic cache and cache?
 
it seems like everything is working smoothly but now my phone at times like lags then it shifts over or something like that...seems a bit odd o.O

anyone else having this kind of problem?
 
Has anyone tried the workaround i posted for the black screen issue in the newest version of this Rom. (For the novatek devices)
