Thanks, i guess your expression was just created by the google translation tool but thanks anyways ;)

Why, yes it was... I'm still working on my ENGLISH, let alone German

DVB-T seems like a lot to put in such a "thin" phone. With first-generation LTE and NFC chips in there, I just don't see room for DVB-T. Besides, we folks on Verizon KNOW they do not want any more free services put on that phone than is absolutely necessary. They don't even like Google Navigation, favoring their own VZ Navigator - that they get to charge money for.

it's a strange world we're living in, isn't it?

but it would be a nice little gimmick, and remember there was something with Android ICS and Google Tv, right?

@Steven58: Once we have an official name for this device, will it be easy enough to simply rename the forum (either this one or the Samsung Droid Prime forum) and keep everything intact, or will it be some convoluted method of creating a new forum and trying to move/merge them?

The reason I am curious is because I'd really rather not see a repeat of what happened with the Function/Stratosphere forums... where everything in BOTH forums was accidentally and irretrievably deleted... I am not blaming anyone and don't want to reopen any old wounds, but I am understandably curious :)

I agree. The names of the forum should change only.
Because there will be a Prime World phone and a Verizon Prime phone.:D

Just in case anybody cares... that dude, Tom is at 973 followers on Twitter. I think its sorta fun waiting for the next clue. I'm not obsessing about it, but it is intriguing.

With all the talk about the Prime possible being Verizon exclusive - or not -,

What do you expect the options will be for a SIM unlocked version? Factory unlocked like N1 too good to happen? Unlocked by random places?

Deciding whether to grab S2 unlocked import or hold out for this one...

(Apologies if this warrants its own thread)

Well, my guess is that the GT-i9250 model will be the GSM version, which can easily be unlocked. SCH-i515 will be the Verizon version, which of course can't be unlocked.

Of course, that's just a guess. You can take it with a grain of salt, especially given the fact that both versions have passed through bluetooth and wifi certification. If Verizon really is going to be exclusive on the Prime, you'd expect only the SCH version to have passed through anything at this point.

It's all up in the air, unfortunately.

I believe the i1950 will be the Nexus handset (N1)

Factory unlocked and ready to go. If that holds up remains to be seen.

Verizon model will be a somewhat different device. Touchwiz? Different hardware specs? I don't know.

hey guys, i need your opinions:

1. do you think the nexus prime (or whatever it's name will be) will have got
a) a physical button (source: that guy from 4chan)
b) 4 capacitive buttons? (source: for example that Nexus 3 Concept)
c) only onscreen buttons?

2. If the prime will come along with only onscreen buttons, what do you think it will be like?
-> are those onscreen buttons only in portrait mode or even in landscape mode?
[onscreen buttons in landscape mode would suck, the screen isn't very big and then also onscreen buttons? also with the buttons displayed it would'nt be true 16:9 aspect ratio, right? and i guess it would suck while playing games or watching a movie... especially when playing games it would be stupid if u hit the home 'button' unintentionally]

damn i want to see the nexus prime and ICS, im so ****ed up of waiting, actually i was planning to get the SGSII in May, but then decided to wait so it would get cheaper on amazon, the only thing i didn't like on the Galaxy s2 is the low resolution... and then i noticed the Nexus Prime with it's 720p SAmoled Display... maaan

and btw any date when the prime will come to europe? the only dates mentioned are for verizon and North America ~.~

Did I miss something ? . . what's up with this talk about changing the name of the thread, or starting another one and moving all the info ? . .When did this start, and what is it about?

The onscreen buttons would Hide, and you'd have a full 16:9 screen on videos.

They might leave a little tick at a corner for when you are surfing which would probably bring up a menu.

Again this is assuming that it wouldn't have a button

This stems from the anonymous guy at 4chan who swears he saw the thing, and it's going to be called Galaxy Nexus. So that's at least FIVE rumored names for this thing now. Chances are pretty good that whatever the name of the forum is for this device will have to be changed once the real official name is released.

I really think this idea of an button less device is excellent. Actually this is not new as LG , Motorola and others have already incorporated this into there skins like having an HOME button on the screen. I never found this to be invasive of the screen and actually found it very intuitive.

Look forward to the prime.

oh ok, ,well if it just has different names on different networks like the SGSII, than one forum for all should be ok I would think, ,but maybe people might only want to talk Verizon stuff. . I don't know lol

TFleming on Twitter just released that it WILL also come to the other carriers after Verizon. Both CDMA and GSM versions will be released, so it will be a globally released phone.

@CellRaven: I don't think a single forum would work, since each carrier has a different network and possible rooting issues. I'm starting to think that, if Samsung went to THIS length to get the phone on Verizon, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see a locked bootloader on it while the other networks are unlocked.

Won't stop me from buying it, though, because I plan to hand it down anyway in about 8 months and pick up the newest latest & greatest :)

This is exactly what I'm going to do. My wife is the primary on our family plan and she is eligible for an upgrade now. I'm going to wait for this phone and then hand it down to her when my upgrade is up next summer.

TFleming tweeted
"Let's make a lot of Bears fans...if the Bears win this game I will release the conclusion at game's end. If not, then tomorrow it comes."

Bears lost. We wait until tomorrow.:(

Not for me. I want absolutely nothing to do with a 3D screen ..

why not?

u don't have to use it, in 2D mode u will see no difference between a 3D screen and a regular 2D screens...

but u still have the gimmick to turn on 3D [glassesfree] ;)
