Who has an official 2.3.4 firmware update via Kies?

Just want to post that I upgraded to KI4 today and reset my default APN on AT&T and got the correct 4G APN by default, as opposed to having to manually enter it (used to get one labeled Cingular 410.) Nice bonus. Unbranded, unlocked UK GS2 here in the US.

more details?

EDIT:

Is there a reason mines different than yours? Mines also unbranded and unlocked and im in the US as well.

It seems funny that the rest of Europe has it but no Uk version yet. To the Cpw version of the sgs2 is a Cpw firmware branded phone and they must approve 2.3.4 after samsung release it and it you google releases with Cpw they are as bad as virgin

Great, So when I asked them if it was unbranded and unlocked they basically lied. I know its its unlocked, it seems to look like stock but if they have to approve the update then its not. This sucks.

I bought my gsii from expansys and am using at&t. I was told by Samsung via twitter that the 2.3.4 update was going to be here by august end. Its almost September and nothing yet :'(

Samfirmware != Samsung

When I saw the US versions have 2.3.4 and the unlocked versions still have 2.3.3... I'm beginning to think you are right.

I am right. Samfirmware only has insiders in Samsung that report to them. There is no direct link between Samfirmware and Samsung.

I'm getting frustrated waiting for 2.3.4 when some people are bragging about official 2.3.5

Afaik the only device to have an "official" 2.3.5 release are Sprint's Nexus S 4G. I've heard rumours of 2.3.6 hitting a few Nexus S/Nexus One devices but it appears to be a bug-fix/tethering removal release.

I'm a UK owner of an S2, unbranded but on a Virgin Mobile contract.

Am currently running android 2.3.3
baseband I9100XXKE7,
kernel version 2.6.35.7-CL276555
build number Gingerbead XWKF3

When I connect to Kies it tells me my latest firmware is
PDA:KF3/PHONE:KE7/CSC:KD1(XEU)
and offers no update.

Seems UK is miles behind everyone else.

whizzkid

Yep I agree, I dont know what Samsung are playing at.

KF3 was the third firmware build of June 2011 (K=2011, F=JUNE). The source code for 2.3.4 was available some time prior to that, so it's perfectly possible that a KF3 firmware already contains many of the patches from the 2.3.4 tree.

Not a fix for the AOS bug.

The UK is always slow for software Updates, Carriers have to test it themselves tweak it add crap too it. They don't care if an update fixes a serious bug or battery drain. You just have too stick with it on their time scale. If you want better more up to date Fimware flashing is the only way
