Oh BTW: The Bionic apparently can handle the new 64GB microSDXC cards :eek:
So sporting that puppy, with 16GB in the phone, would give us 80 friggin' gigabytes of onboard memory to take all those 1080p videos we'll be shooting. Plenty of elbow room there, IMHO. And the "cloud" would just be icing on the cake, especially to back it all up.
 
HanSolo: VZ_wired is not currently available. He is being administered a 500cc dose of Scopolamine. He laughed at us during the Chinese water torture. We then went to the fingernails on the chalkboard where we thought we saw some progress. Unless the Scopolamine works we might have to show him a flip phone with a pull out antenna.

More power to you if you can afford a class 6+ 64gb micro sd card. I can tell you class 2 or 4 ain't gonna cut it for recording 1080p. The nice thing about built in storage is the ability to control the quality for the purpose of fast enough write times to support HD recording or quick camera shots. If there's no support for micro SD, I'm fine with it as long as it's 32gb internal. If it's 16gb, it needs external memory support.

Well if it does only come with 16gb and no SD card expansion, I am certainly glad I have my unlimited plan with Verizon. I can just cloud everything and stream. And fortunately I don't have in-laws period, much less ones that live in the nether regions.....

I would agree with this (and I am a mechanical engineer). A flat sheet of glass and a piece twisted in any direction (so long as they have the same cross-sectional area at all points) will have the same strength. With the rumored metal chassis I don't think anyone should worry about the strength of this beast.

Can you tell the gang that I can't reveal that, but that I can confirm that there will definitely be certain components in this phone that haven't been seen in any other phone in the US so far? And I'm not talking about the screen. :D

Believe me, I would tell you guys everything if I could. I just can't. There's more than just my job at stake, honestly. But I also want to keep the optimism going."

Any chance apps might be backed up to Google servers on this phone? As in, without the need for root? I think that would make some people VERY HAPPY.

Ok, let's break this down. . .

Components not seen in the US so far. . .

That, at first, kind of pissed me off because even the 1.2 GHz OMAP 4460 hasn't been seen in the US so far, and that's the lowest spec acceptable to us, right?

But then he mentioned "IN THE US". . .so does that mean that whatever IS in the Prime is in a phone somewhere else in the world??

Like in Korea, in the SGSII HD LTE???
