Root [ROM]MIUI.us DefyX 1.10.7

don't think i'll be trying this. I tried MIUI last week and like Steven said it is really involved. And there were some things i didn't like about the UI in general.

Not saying this is a bad ROM by any means it just isn't my flavor.
 
your good, myself and sims will probably try this out, i used to not like miui at all, and then it grew on me, so im actually looking forward to it :) i am just waiting to get my phone rooted, and then im installing it :)
 
B/C of the sbf, I'm going to wait a day on this. Not too keen of this either:

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the custom bootmenu, you will not be able to get to CWM recovery through ROM Manager. The reboot menu's CWM recovery option will work perfectly though. Also, in the custom bootmenu, 2nd-boot mode doesn't work yet, but I plan to give you a boot manager type option with it, where you can swap ROMs.

This sounds to me like a rom that is best to grab on the NEXT build. :D
 
I'm driving home this afternoon (4 hours) and would just as soon have a phone that's set up and works in case I need it. :D

This is definitely a version to watch tho. Wonder how often a defyX build will be released. I kind of like this weekly build thing.
 
Has some bugs. Custom boot menu isn't fully compatable. Camera doesn't work. Market wasn't working right. DXC will release the fixed version soon. Its still a great ROM. I'm set up and running well. Will just flash the fix when its released.
 
I'm getting good battery life with this.

Charged to 100% before bedtime and still had 90% in the morning, about what I get with stock rom. :D
 
I assume defyX's version is like revnumbers CM7 version. :D

This should be the same as previous without the core change. (Guess I'll find out.) :D
 
When I flashed this last night it did go through the "dxc" logo and under that said "miui.us defx 1.10.7" sure sounds like a defy base to me...
 
That might be the case since I can't get into recovery, which was one of the bugs for defyX.

Still, I did not sbf or clear data to update from a previous version of MIUI.
 
Running now and its smooth. Liking the defy base for it. Some small issues, but they are being ironed out. Last nights update fixed camera and market. I love this ROM..
 
DXC fixed the camera and the market last night. Been running for almost 18 hours and no problems. Actually everything seems to work almost perfect. Still no 1% bat incs. and camera still only goes to 480 (no HD). Besides that this this is humming. Fastest ROM I have seen and the FM radio works perfectly.

DXC said he is currently focused on the 1% bat incs. and getting us HD video from the camera.

Oh, he is also trying to get the native wifi teather in miui working, and believes it will on this Fridays release. Also he is taking inputs on how torch should react when the screen is off.
 
Boy this thread is confusing. Can someone clarify the right info in the OP? I must not be the only confuzzled individual. :p
 
the info in the op is correct steven, its the new miui based off the Defy, cols was actually the same thing as well, i meant to merge them last night but forgot.

Thank the lord you mentioned SBFing before - I installed this around 4am on the previous version's thread, saw .30 and the link gave the me the newer option, installed as any other previous version on GB and in CWR it stated "you need to SBF if you haven't already before installing..." - great... Not that I'm afraid, just limited to time at that moment for a complete re-flash.

But non the less everything is working great, just follow the pre/post install instructions.

Cameras not having issues btw - just the same workaround as before. And CWR works fine on mine, via the reboot on the build. I'm at work so I'm checking little things out as I go, but I am noticing differences here and there and I like it.
