Yeah so pretty much today was a waste. We didn't get any new prime news except that an "announcement" of sorts is "imminent". Woop de doo

We were supposed to hear something already. Feels like Samsung just took a big dump on our heads

Any chance specs announced for this bad boy today? Reading the first post you have and if its true that the phone has almost same specs as the SGS2 then I may as well go for that once Telus releases that phone later this month then I figure.

Nope no specs

SGSII is no slouch. They have NOTHING to be upset about once the Nexus launches. I think the SGSII will still be one of the best handsets going into 2012.

That thing is awesome.

Agreed, the only thing I'd be jealous about is the screen, since WVGA is a little substandard for a top-class device these days, especially compared to 720p.

the only issue I would have with the sgs 2 is if you are worried about getting ics. I wouldn't hold my breath getting ics on sgs 2 anytime soon

How in the blazing hell is a person pose to keep up with this thread. Short answer please, do we know anything yet.

oh, we know LOTS: there IS a Nexus device; it WILL have ICS; we're gonna be very happy with it; and there will be an announcement of some sort in the "imminent" future.

other than that, zip, zilch, nada, nothin... ;)

sorry for the double post, but i know most of you don't get out much, but: the thing that jumped out at me in the article is the reference to it being clocked at 1.5 ghz. to me, that signals an OMAP 4460, cuz i don't think the 4430 could get up to 1.5, even if "turbo charged" (or am i wrong in that)...??

According to engadget, the spyder is overclocked to 1.5 in the demo, gonna be clocked at 1.2 on release. Motorola Spyder and Xoom 2 turn up in more leaked shots -- Engadget

right, i got that. but i interpret that as meaning Moto, as it has traditionally done, will be underclocking the device on release. so, again, this signals that it's an OMAP 4460 (capable of 1.5, but underclocked to 1.2), and not an OMAP 4430 (not capable of 1.5, but which could be "turbo charged" to 1.2).

"I see" said the blind man to the deaf woman
Ehhhhhh? What's that you said?
No you didn't misread THAT part, but the SECOND part of that same sentence reads "where operators and carriers permit". And Verizon will likely not willingly let Motorola (their preferred OEM) unlock bootloaders on their network.
Pish Posh. Verizon has already taken a step toward freezing Hell over with the supposedly vanilla Nexus. I can attest to the frozen Hell part because I live kinda near it and it's been chilly lately. So I say it's in the realm of possibility.

Hey Vz_wired, want to help a girl out? Any word on unlockable bootloaders for the RAZR? :D

I know this is kinda off-topic, so I'll be quiet now.

From what I understand we are looking at an OMAP4460 under-clocked to 1.2.
