Hmm, not familiar with that rumor but aren't there tablets (i.e. Xoom) that have Tegra 2 and LTE?

I'm thinking this phone would've totally destroyed an iPhone 5 in everything except for gaming performance. But that's not enough for some people. :(

Steven ~ awhile ago you said that you verified this "source". Does phandroid have a certain process for verifying their sources. Just wondering....I know you can't tell us certain aspects but was just wondering since their seems to be soooo many sources out there. TIA

Bluebiker ~ nothing will ever please everyone. It's just a fact of life. Even if this had a quad core in it some people would find something to complain about. It is what it is.

Also just wanted to say for all of us Verizon users this IS a big deal because we are usually left behind with devices. Although spec wise it could be a little better, I am very very happy to be getting this device.

Now I have no idea as to the legitimacy of that claim but supposing it IS true, is it possible that the Exynos has the same problem? Maybe that is why VZW passed on the GS2 and why Samsung is giving them exclusivity, and why there are two rumored devices with two different rumored specs. I know many have brought up the possibility of a Droid Galaxy Nexus and a Nexus Prime, this could help give credence to this idea. Add that to the fact that the leaked Samsung roadmap had the i9250, or whatever it was, slated to be released in late november early december. That would give VZW some exclusivity time with the Driod Galaxy Nexus while compensating the other carriers for waiting by giving them the GSMarena specs.

I'm still not sure if it is reasoned thinking or daydreaming but that's my two cents. What do you guys think of my pie in the sky idea?

Actually I think you're pretty much spot on with this. Issues with LTE was what we heard was the reason for the switch to the OMAP for the Bionic and I think I heard somewhere that the Exynos has basically the same problem.

I also had another throught as to why Verizon is finally getting a Nexus phone even if it may be slightly different than what everyone else eventually ends up with. It's LTE! What other network gives a Nexus device a large LTE network for developers to work with? None really. And the main goal of a Nexus device is for development so it makes sense that a Nexus device is being brought the maybe the only network that has the capacity to give developers a start to developing toward a LTE world.

On that note I really hope this release works out really well for Verizon and they actually make a ton of money from selling Nexus Primes. If they do that is the best way to assure that Verizon will bring another Nexus to their network in the future because lets face it the openness of the Nexus devices is not Verizon's comfort zone.

I know. I was in the OG Droid forums when I first got mine, and then I kind of petered out except to get links to ROMS.

This group is far more entertaining. I think I'll stick around. If you guys don't mind, of course.
