Here's the new tweet from black_man_x.."People calmn down..I just got a lil happy about some specs I saw. Sure other carriers will get a version. And it's not a nexus"

Damn..day late and dollar short..lol

Here's P3's reply "@black_man_x why u bringing up the 9250, throwing it on our face..u know vzw people are rabid"

this tells me that, like some have postulated, the Exynos doesn't work well with LTE. like CK says, it's a trade off - if you want functional LTE, you have to deal with "lesser" hardware; if you want the primo specs, you can't have LTE... Given the choice between "lesser" specs, or no Nexus device on VZW at all, i think most of us would prefer to have the device...??

edit: nevermind. i don't know why anyone bothers trying to stay ahead of the curve in this thread... LOL

We are being sold incremental updates because the manufacturers are making profits and they don't have to work hard for it. It's the way it is and unfortunately, it's not very exciting. I think we are all silly for paying top dollar for these upgrades. We might as well wait for 3-6 months for the the phones to go on sale because they are already behind the curve when they are released anyway.

Where's the innovation? I just want to feel like someone is pushing the envelope. Maybe that spirit is dead?

A PRIME example is that the iPhone 4S has record sells thus far LMAO. Complacency is running rampant!!! It would be nice if Google could limit one phone per manufacturer, per carrier, per year. Take your best shot cause you only get one! Throw up some BS incremental upgrade and you would lose boatloads.

I'm not really disappointed in this particular phone so don't get me wrong. But just as I was disappointed with the iPhone 4S launch...I'm disappointed again. Where's the excitement? Show me you want my business! It's becoming boring and the most exciting improvements are always rumors that never surface until the tech is too old to matter anymore.

Yeah I'm with you. We all want to completely WOWED and get our hopes ups for that game changing, killer phone. Probably won't happen that way. Guess it's at least fun to enjoy the process of hoping! Have fun at your sons's bday BTW.

Trent, don't be concerned about the battery, bmx clarified:
"Let me further clarify my battery statement.. I use about 4gb a day in data so I kill a bionic battery in 4 hours so to get 6 will be great"
I know it's already been said but just to make sure everyone knows :)

I saw that... I may be a little shell shocked from my experience with the Inc.

Maybe he's talking about the Galaxy Note that's heading to AT&T. The time frame seems about right.

black_man_x just tweeted this....On the real... Vzw device is nice.. But the real beast is coming on att.. Expect greatness in the 1st qrt of 2012..

So save your money and wait:D

It would piss me off if there were multiple versions of the Nexus (specs of the N1 and NS were the same across all carrier versions). However, they could put a 12-core CPU with 6GB of RAM in the AT&T version, I'd still have shitty coverage and customer service.

EDIT: I posted before reading. Mea Culpa (except on the ATT comment!)

these rumors are getting so stupid

how many versions of the nexus one were there?
how many versions of the nexus s were there?

why would there be a better version of the prime?

You just did what I did. Scroll down. There's another post clarifying that the updated phone isn't a Nexus device.

This may have been brought up before, but perhaps what Google is going for in this release is NOT a orgy of hardware goodness.

Big ol high def screen, curved glass (not totally new..), super thin... Yes, sure, other phones may have hardcore CPUs pushing tons of 1s and 0s but this phone will be a great experience all around.

Don't we sound greedy asking for the fastest phone, thinnest phone, highest definition phone, with 4g LTE, and long battery life? I mean....that is ridiculous!

well it's not the first time people on this forum have hoped for the same thing, just spelling it out lol (but yeah i did do that haha)

We all know there will ALWAYS be something better right around the corner. It all depends on where you want to get off the ride. I believe a Nexus device, pure vanilla, Google Experience, on Verizon's LTE network, is about as good as we can hope for for a long, long time.

I'll be happy for you AT&T guys when yours finally shows up... but we got dissed with the whole SGS2 saga, so I'm not the least upset that we get an awesome phone before you guys. You WILL get yours, I promise.

And for you other carrier people: yours will come too. It always does. But the Prime station is my stop. My 0.02 :)

My sentiments exactly. My damn blackberry storm 2 is no longer a cell phone since its plugged in all the time due to a dying battery...Hurry up Prime?

Any suggestions on how to put it out of its misery (other than the job RIM is currently doing? ):D

Personally,I want it all!

I would never try to replace you. I just happened to log on as soon as steven asked for an update.

As far as a simple model, I don't think you can have a reliable trend if the model is that complicated. I don't think there is a real trend here. Just tons of posts.

And it was excel. I don't have minitab on my laptop, only my work PC. I do apologize!!

The model is actually not that complicated. There are many more models out there that are much more complicated and are known to hold true (see: Quantum mechanics). As for my equation, it is basically an initial correction plus a time based correction plus the time based term. So...all in all not that complicated. Just much more so than the initial model. :)

Nkk

well I am sure other carriers will get their prime love. What I am wondering is just how long we have to wait. My guess is spring 2012

Ck just tweeted this......on the real...Q1 att device is nice but wait until Q2 another device will be released thats even better....... #phail

This. I couldn't care less what the specs are as long as the phone performs. People are obsessing over these numbers. Who cares? When it comes out, try it. Like it? Buy it. I know a vanilla Android phone is being released on my carrier and has everything I want in a phone. Not specs (because they are irrelevant) but features. The specs don't dictate how well the phone preforms. Just gives you an idea how much they can fudge it up and still make it smooth. If the phone is designed well (which i'm very confident it is) then its made to run great with whatever it has inside it. Sure you'll see incremental advances in technology all the time. Its not like phones NEED quad core to be snappy and responsive.

We're about to get a VANILLA (as in no skin to slow it down) dual core phone on the largest network and won't have to wait for updates. You say this phone needs a next gen processor to be a powerhouse? Show me some proof that the 4460 can't handle ICS? When you don't have any lag going from task to task, how much faster can it really get?

I pray it isn't that long. If it is I hope the international version will be out sooner and people on AT&T/T-Mobile will be able to get the phone at full price.

I can't do this any more. I'll use my Incredible til it dies....and then I'm going to get 2 cans of soup,.....eat the soup, wash out the cans, string them together, and weave thru the streets of Portland. One at home, one at work. The chicken soup can will be at home. The cream of mushroom can will be at work. Don't touch my cans. Don't mess with my string. Amen.
