"No global phone"
First of all, the NP should be a great device, but not for me without the sd card. My Droid 3 has 12gb usable internal storage and 30gb usable on the sd card. I have no speed issues with a lot of media and game roms. That should be about 17gb more storage than the NP, since about 4.5gb of the usable space on the NPs 30gb usable will be taken up by ICS firmware, stock apps, data allocation and about the last 1gb will not be usable (just like HC).
I clearly stated most people will be fine with the NP and its storage, but I keep MP3s, movies, pictures, PSX roms, Oid roms and MAME roms on my D3 and use it as an all-in-one.
There are probably only one out of every ten folks that are media hounds like me.
Well, the Nexus S got along just fine sans MicroSD slot
with the massive dev community that should be following this phone, we will have root in no time. my question is do you guys think there will be a sense rom at some point? i know its dumb but im a fan of sense. Sense + the prime = eternal happiness for me.![]()
"No global phone"
Does this mean two devices then?

Yeah my job entails a lot of waiting, traveling by plane grand and automobile and being underground waiting on a contractor or hanging out in a building with RF reflectors so your signal is purposely blocked I can see it seriously pissing me off. Especially if I downloaded a document earlier that i could be reviewing but because its 3 gigs and I already have 30 gigs of stuff loaded im screwed. My current card in my DX is a 32gb card and is 29.2 gigs full
seriously doubt it, although i'm no dev...I do remember jamezelle trying for some time to port sense to the d1 and never getting it working. Couple to that it's antithetical to a nexus device and I'd guess the answer is 99% correct...
Absolutely. Adrynalyne already expressed interest in a sense port.
Yep, that is the "burden" for us media hounds
Shame, since I was strongly considering the NP. Still hoping the info is wrong and it simply has no microsd, rather than no slot.
It seems like it does mean that there will be two devices.
Will the other device be the same exact specs with a GSM radio, or will it be more powerful? Maybe we will find out on the 18th or 19th or whatever day it is going to be here when they announce the phone.
I had Sensed Nexus One and there were some Sense ports to the OG droid and first Galaxy S... they were slow and buggy though.Has Sense EVER been ported to another phone, especially a non-HTC one? I wouldn't hold my breath on a Sensed Nexus...
I got like 8 friend invites, if you want one PM me.I signed up for a Google Music invite, hope I get it before this thing gets released so I can play around with it...
actually the sense port was pretty close to fully functional on the droid, the problem was getting data to work. It was a problem of porting an htc ril to a Motorola device. I actually had it running on my droid for a week.
you are correct in stating that it defeats the purpose of buying a nexus device only to put sense on it. If you want sense, buy a vigor.

With so much info confirming the Galaxy Nexus name, shouldn't the thread name be changed. Actually the whole forum name should be changed from Nexus Prime to Galaxy Nexus.
Prime was an awesome name, but I think would should all embrace the true name of our new master.
