Root [THEME] Simple Blue 4.2, Simple Green 4.2 (10/26/11)

Next update is gonna be delayed another day or 2.

Heres a new themed Gingerbread Keyboard for both green and blue. Links are in the first post for each theme

I haven't found how to fix the ampersand yet

Excellent theme!! I was wondering how one would go about adding custom icons to the apps also how would i replace certain things like the 3g icon or the battery icon?

just unpack the apks, replace the png files, repack and resign the apks, and install.
 
one thing I've personally noticed on my device is that it seems to be that that battery drains much faster even when in standby. has anyone else encountered this?

with a fresh Odin to EE14 with CWM and HK 1.2 you should only use around 1% a hour on standby

this seems to work good for most

1. Odin to EE14 with CWM and HK 1.2
2. Factory data reset
3. Flash Shabby 0.9
4. Flash Simple Blue 3.1
5. Boot Phone and let it run through the motions.
6. Reboot into CWM and flash 4.0
 
Even with the simple theming adjustments you made to the keyboard, it seems so much smoother. I wanted to thank you once again for all of your hard work.

Updated the Carrier IQ removal to 3.1

-Talk.apk
-redid Contacts.apk for Simple Blue
-redid Phone.apk for Simple Blue
-redid the GingerBread Keyboard
Fixed blacked out text in Contacts.apk and Phone.apk
Fixed Bluetooth widget icon
Fixed some lockscreen alignment

I will upload Simple Green 4.1 sometime tomorrow

If your not currently using a theme or one of my mods you must flash Simple Blue/Green 3.1 before flashing this

clearing cache and dalvik cache work fine but DO NOT do a factory reset or you will get a bootloop

Known Issues:
The ampersand on the keyboard showing up wrong
Gmail inbox read/unread look the same

depends on what font your using, the one i use for the theme makes the inbox subject text all look bold. I was going to use a different font for 4.1 but everything i tried looks like shit to me on this resolution

i just flashed 4.0 which looped, then flashed 4.1 that still loops

i've wiped caches, should i do a factory wipe for luck?

update: wiping caches and a 2nd reboot seems to have worked itself out

try this

1) flash simple blue/green 3.1 and let the phone boot up all the way
2) boot into cwm and flash 4.1
3) clear dalvik and wipe cache, DON'T do a factory wipe

you should boot up fine now
