I will say, though, that I am looking forward to Google wallet, just to play. I don't think it's implemented widely enough in my area to really use it a lot. But, I am sort of excited to try it out.

If Verizon is paying ANY attention to this thread for real, hopefully they would realize that there is a large enough following of this device that they should be concerned with keeping/getting those customers. Also, that the group is small enough that I'm sure whatever negatives they see are minimal.
That's just me though.
I found that some what interesting because let's be honest, there isn't much left of this year to announce and ship something.
No big deal, I'll just side-load it if i really want it.

I have no doubt the phone will be on schedule. What I do doubt is the supply and if it will be offered pre-purchase. Other "sellers" are gonna have it too. I assume that means Best Buy, so inventory is an issue. It may be a Droid Incredible deal, where there was a severe shortage of DIncs in the beginning.
Official Mod edit: TOP OF THE PAGE!!! w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to dash your hopes and dreams, but remember that we make up about 1% of the smartphone market out there. Bringing this discussion up with the average person on the street would elicit a "What's a Nexus?" response. While VZW may have eyes on this forum and perhaps even this thread they will always protect their wallets and if that means trying to block Google's then they will do what they feel they need to.
The interesting thing is that Samsung also signed on to support Isis so I wonder where they stand on the issue.
If love that the end result of these corporations arguments may result in the end user losing out... Sux

Single Malt Scotch....why yes I will thank you.
WOW! So much to digest over the last few pages. Panda dropped a bomb with his tweet. I was planning to get the Nexus on launch day, but if Panda's info turns out to be true, I may need to hold off. He says Sammy will not be the only stock ICS device released by the end of the year. That implies that Moto, HTC, etc. will also be releasing a stock ICS device. What do we know that's rumored to come out and out of those, are any of them supposed to be stock ICS. Isn't a stock Android device by definition a Nexus?
As many have said, the only phones coming out before the end of the year for Verizon (not sure about other carriers) are Nexus, Moto Spyder and HTC Vigor. Out of those, only the Nexus is supposed to be vanilla Android. What can he possibly be referring to?

Wow.. Vzw people are greedy! Give them the hint of a nexus and they want All of them!?
I have a feeling about this. We're not going to lose out. There was some stuff I left out in my daily epistle. I can summarize without exposing anything. There's a level of VZW employee (most of them) that are super-psyched about this. It's an amazing phone. The end-users are gonna salivate. There's a higher level of VZW that is really anxious/tense about this because of the lack of control in corporate negotiations.
Adding everything up? We win. The announcement's already in the wind and these are the final backdoor/closed-door legal negotiations. Everyone wants it to succeed, but everyone wants to posture themselves in the best possible position, financially. Typical corporate stuff. It'll all be over soon. It'll all be revealed and when it is, we will all celebrate.
My sense? It's pretty much a done deal from our perspective.
