Just wanted to post and say that I haven't abandoned you guys at all. .Just having some real life issues to work out. .I have kept reading all of your posts though, and can't believe the amount and the rate at which this thread grew.

GREAT INFO ! ! !
GREAT POSTS ! ! !
GREAT MANAGEMENT ! ! !

And since the bigger companies are now watching and reading through this thread, ,Keep It Up, , maybe they'll listen and do something

Anyone seen the leaked VZW roadmap at Droid Life? Thoughts on the 11/10 date listed?

I've lost all faith in Kellex and DL unfortunately. So many of those things have come and gone and not even been close. I'll probably catch a lot flak for saying that but I can't lie.

It's a 'grain of salt" tech blog..sorry guys not trying to be ugly

Not a fan. I am still with my parents on a family plan because it makes sense economically, and now I'm grandfathered into unlimited data. I'm moving across the country for a new job on the 7th and was hoping to have a new robot companion for the trip. :(

Verizon is starting to annoy me. If Glexus doesn't happen I am off to another carrier for the GS2. Maybe even T-MO.

It will actually be $10 cheaper for me on T-Mobile for unlimited talk and text with 10GB of high speed internet.

Hey Raven, glad you're back. Hope you get things sorted out and come help us break 10,000 -- competition for that's gonna be fierce!

That would also mean you don't have a drivers' license with you. Which means you are driving illegally. Which means you can be arrested and subject to fines and/or impounding depending on your state or municipality. Which means you are a criminal.

Conclusion: Only criminals use Google Wallet.

Does anyone here really want to associate themselves with such?

You have so many days to provide your license if you happen to get pulled over without it.

I enjoy Droid-Life more than most sites, but am always wary of something so easily faked...

True. but he puts up a lot of rumors and state them as such. he has been saying Galaxy Nexus for a while now as the final name. release dates change so much that they are pretty tough to nail down. but i think he's done a good job with this phone spec wise. or at least as far as we know.

+1 TMo will definitely get the Nexus and my office guys with TMo have great signal quality and internet speed.

And you're talking about $60M that Verizon wouldn't bring back in at their subsidized price. Backing out of the contract would likely mean an obligation to buy the phones from Samsung at Samsung's price. More likely you are looking at $120M Verizon will have to pay out with no return what so ever. You're also looking at an estimate of what Isis might bring to Verizon in profit. No one really knows what that number might actually be but they will surely know what exactly Isis would be competing against because the gorilla that is Google will have it's wallet sitting right across to the table from them. They'll also know that Google wallet will make it's way onto their phones whether they like it or not. How many of you are sitting there reading this on a PC with Internet Explorer? Sound like a familar scenario?

To finalize the thoughts I have on this...When I spoke earlier (not trying to be lawyer like) about other ancillary issues beyond the recognizable costs are soured relationships with two of the biggest players in the industry - which is one of the biggest of the ancillaries, IMO.

However, like someone alluded to earlier (I think it was our Vampire mod), these sorts of "issues" get worked out in backroom corporate meetings all the time. I'm sure of this because while I'm not an attorney, I am involved in these meetings quite frequently...I truly don't think it's an issue. Just my opinion...

So.....to sum up what's happen on this day that began filled with much promise......nothing good happened? I'm calling it quits. CK has rubbed off on me.....I believe I am now a pessimist. Will check in next week. Troubles me that my grandson's new iPhone looked so appealing to me today.....heavy sigh.

But the screen is so small. Whatever. Go ahead. Leave us and forsake us. ;)

Verizon has obviously known about G Wallet for sometime, as innumerable articles were written highlighting 3 of the big 4 US carriers choosing to go with Isis. Google has known for some time that this was the case and if they included it in the OS anyway, it probably did piss off people at VZ. This is probably a very good point. This stuff happens and gets dealt with all the time. The problem this time around is that we're a nosy bunch :o

If not for Steven's source, we probably wouldn't have known much, if anything, about these issues.

I witnessed the iPhone 4S campers in Phipps Plaza Atlanta this AM.

Those people didn't look real. I mingled in and was amazed at the way they behaved. You would think they were giving away a pound of 100 dollar bills to every S2 buyer. Try and jump line and you are risking your life.

I want a Prime pretty bad "I Think" but not enough to skip work to plop down top dollar for a phone.

I could not help but wonder if some of the crazed consumers were bought and paid for.

Mercy!

see, i can do it too...

EDIT!: this IS fake, just so no one freaks out...just proving a point that these are EASILY faked...

Hang in there. The end is near.;)

I can tell you I won't spend the night, but if there are no preorders for the Nexus, I will be late for work and I will be there 30 minutes to an hour before the phone releases. That's the same thing I did for my Droid X.
