I feel like an outsider again, haven't been able to get on since Friday...can anyone sum up what's happened since Friday? I tried to Catch up but the thing moves so fast. So far I know that there a lot of tension over Google wallet..anything else? Any new leaks? Oh, and I learned Steven cheated for post 9000 and Han is a dbag

Even worse case than this would be Verizon is on board and then they pull out at the end of October. Keep expectations low, Verizon-heads.

I addressed that a while back but I_think_it will have a metal body. I think it's time for them to move away from plastic before the SGSIII drops and what better device to intro this new "style" than the Nexus.
The "something big" campaign could simply be their 4.6" screen or it could entail the entire package itself. Screen, metal body, ICS etc etc

Hate to triple-post, but no one is saying anything, so. . .
Anyway, I highly doubt that VZ blows this as completely as some might think. Rumors have been pretty consistent with a pure Nexus device coming to Verizon for a long time now. Could it fall through? Yes. But I highly doubt it will.
Having said that, I know there's been some discussion about leaving Verizon, signing petitions, or flooding them with complaints by phone. I doubt most would leave Verizon (mainly because of unlimited data, if you have it), and signing petitions would solve nothing. Flooding them with phone complaints wouldn't do anything either, because they have thousands of phone operators and it will just be dispersed; I doubt they'd even notice.
One thing that would work would be to organize a physical, on-site protest in front of their HQ in New York with picket signs, news cameras, the whole deal. That would do the trick, I'm sure. Maybe we could set up a paypal account, controlled by Steven and his love tunnel, to scrounge up enough money and fly us all out there! That would be pretty cool.

Perhaps they will try to get away with that faux metal as well. Regardless, Samsung has excellent QC with their handsets. They do plastic better than anyone in my opinion.

Perhaps we need a poll? I say the real Nexus falls through on Verizon and we get something else. That something else will still be a great phone but it will not be the Nexus we have all been pining away for. I just don't see it.

Yeah, I don't really care if it's metal or plastic. Actually, the lighter the better (in my opinion). I understand the appeal of metal, but it's not like I'm using it as a weapon. That's what I have my steel, insured fists for.

i don't trust this rumour about the gaaxy s3...
the galaxy s3 will (and im 99% sure about that) have the exynos 5250!
the exynos 5250 features Cortex-A15 (no word about the number of cores or the clockspeed) and the Mali T604 (no word about whether it'l be MP or not)

Personally, I'm in the camp that believes a pure, Nexus device is coming to Verizon either November 3 or 10. I'm 90% sure. I'm just a little scared because I was just as sure that SGSII was coming, especially with that idiot in California "leaking" that Verizon would get it first, on August 11, and with our very own CK having people telling him it would show up on Verizon (not throwing you under the bus, CK, I just think you got some bad info that seemed legit at the time.)
I'd be shocked, totally shocked, if Verizon let this fall through. But. . .
Verizon has shocked me before. Now I flinch when there's an impending announcement, like a little puppy that's been smacked with a newspaper too many times.

but as its already announced and the exynos 4212 is just a higher clocked version of the SGS2's soc while everybody expects quadcore for 2012, it would be stupid to use the 4212 in their next big flagship (SGS 3)

You're absolutely right and that was my fault. I assumed the info they were giving me pertained to the SGSII. I now know that it wasn't and they were talking about this one.
I can't get any info on this device at all. It was met with "I'm sorry, I cannot divulge any more information about that particular product."

And why do you think that is...if it was just another phone would the raps be this tight? If it wasn't something SPECIAL like a Nexus device coming to Verizon would there not already have been blur cam shots and leaked videos like every other average phone that's released.
Just the fact that everyone is so tight lipped leads me to believe that this is not just some normal release.

Very sad indeed...I am not a IRL or NASCAR fan, I have watched F1 since I was old enough to drive and when I saw this crash I was pissed. This should never have happened!
This kind of crash...15 cars at 200mph on a oval track, there was no place to go except into other cars or the wall...this could not happen in F1 because of the type of tracks they run on, it also seems strange that his roll cage could be ripped off that easily.
Sad day indeed that someone had to die for no reason...
