Damn you VZW! Now I have to decide if it's worth jumping ship and losing my ATT unlimited to go VZW 5GB for the same price with the GNex.

I really hope they announce when the other carriers will get it tomorrow. If they give me something firm on other carriers then I think I ...might...be able to wait. It they leave ATT and Sprint in the dark I'll probably go VZW.

We just got LTE in the area so this is very tempting.

Yes, Steven gave in to the post-horism that resides deep within his soul, but he has also provided the Love Tunnel, so we gave him a pass and didn't complain too much other than the occasional insult.

I heard back from my source. The Verizon Wireless higher ups are totally clamped down on any info leaks. There is absolutely nothing coming out of those offices.

As far as the release date goes, s/ he knows nothing about what might have happened to change it, if it is indeed changed.

The source believes tomorrow's announcement is still happening. There was one bit of info s/ he shared. That info was that the mood coming out of those offices is no longer tense. In fact, it's downright giddy.

My source surmises that this is either due to the possibility that either google, Samsung and Verizon are now in an accord and/ or it is due to tomorrow's moto announcement or both.

S/ he surmises vzw had straightened out the google and Samsung hitches, primarily, but stresses that s/ he is totally out of the loop, as are most of vzw employees because of the leaks and the now hermetically sealed upper echelons.

Call me paranoid, but if I had hands-on access to the latest and greatest, I'd be taking tons of pictures of it. Anyone else concerned that this guy was comfortable enough to reveal very specific details of the phone's capabilities, but didn't post one picture of the device? Am I missing something?

A lot previous leaks come from stories of guys who met verizon/samsung/google employees who let them see the phone, but provided the stipulation that they take no pictures.
It's more than likely that the same thing was the case here. No worries, let's all just get through these next 34 hours as comfortably as possible

#3 and #8 are really intriguing. I'm sure #3 is because Google wants to announce some face recognition stuff tomorrow night exclusively. #8 though lends some credence to the phone converting to a dock. It's not like the normal docks that are in existence today are that revolutionary, so keeping the connector private makes me think there should be something pretty damn interesting coming for it.

Could the non-FCC be because of simple confidentiality agreements, a la Apple? Most likely. Could it be because there is no Nexus for Verizon? Again, possible but highly highly unlikely. That would be a shock.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm really hoping they give some information about the release for other carriers as well. I can't walk away from the unlimited data.. Probably means I'll have to wait for this amazing device.

I believe it is a company that has signed an agreement with AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint for NFC payment rights (if not exclusivity). One of the rumors this weekend is that the Isis vs. Google Wallet issue was the source of the major consternation between Google/Samsung and Verizon.
