Seriously, how can you not love this place. Most places Mods crack down on this stuff, here they instigate it! Thanks for the laughs.

Not unless there's something a little off about you and you're not a dude.

No, seriously, I've gotten tested. I've got XXXYYY. The doctors were pretty stunned. Supposedly I'm like some "super human" or something.

Eh. I don't let it dominate my life. But here's a baby picture of me.

Hey guys. I've been lurking here for a bit. I'm excited about the Nexus Prime just like everyone else. I found some good news for Canadians excited about the Nexus Prime. Samsung Canada sent an email to MobileSyrup.com regarding "a new Samsung device" being announced tomorrow.

"The coolest Samsung smartphone will be coming to Canada soon", we're thinking the Nexus Prime | MobileSyrup.com

Samsung & Google Prepare to Unbox an Ice Cream Sandwich

“With temperatures falling across the country, it may seem like an odd time to be talking about an Ice Cream Sandwich. But as all first-to-knowers are aware, the classic snack is trending on Twitter because Samsung and Google are about to serve up what could be the most anticipated Ice Cream Sandwich ever! If you are among those that can’t wait to learn more, tune in to the live stream of the official Hong Kong Unboxing event @ androiddevelopers's Channel - YouTube. The webcast will begin at @ 10:00 p.m. EDT.

The coolest Samsung smartphone will be coming to Canada soon. Stay tuned for additional information regarding launch date and availability in the coming weeks.”

:D:D:D

Well, I guess if the NP doesn't come to AT&T, you can get one from Canada soon.

General question: For those of you out there who have had a Sammy, an HTC and a Moto Android phone, what would you say are the 1-2 biggest pros for each? I have a Dinc right now and like pretty much everything except the phone. That is going to weigh heavily in my decision re: Prime or RAZR, if either has a markedly better phone. Any other key hardware or other pros endemic to each brand?

I think that's the same genetic type that most female East German Olympic Swimmers have as well.

the prime (Gnex) is googles flagship phone, it is an open phone for all the enjoy and developers to become enriched in.(it will be dual core, and reports say the battery life isnt that great)

the razr is a moto phone and possibly a locked down bootloader (which means no custom kernels, but custom roms may happen if there is a workaround much like the 2init process for the DX), the new ones are coming dual core, and have good battery life

htc has nice phones, all are usually open, the recent htc devices i have seen require allot of work around to basically root the thing (gold card?) and doesnt really have the battery life to help its case, and no dual core.

This isn't really related to the GNex, but I have seriously been thinking this lately and I wanted all of my AF friend's thoughts on this:

How angry are Bionic owners right now? They waited so long through delays to FINALLY get the Bionic, and a couple months later the Droid Razr comes out and completely obliviates it! I would be SO mad! But then again, I was wise enough to wait because there had to be something better coming. I think the GNex will be the best, but the Droid Razr will be a very nice phone too. It will be fun to compare the two of them side by side. But seriously, how upset are Bionic owners right now? I would be livid!

I am not really sure how to help you here, you like everything about the Dinc except the phone?

I wouldn't know about HTC (I had the Eris as my first smartphone, but I think HTC has made much better phones since then) or Samsung, but I really like the build quality of Moto phones. I'm just kind of sick of the box design. Also, I have the OG Droid and I've used the hard keyboard maybe like 5 times in 2 years. I hate that thing.

Motorola=Build quality, battery and phone reception but poor camera.
HTC=Sense but very poor battery life and poor phone quality.
Samsung=Camera,Screens,Speed, more Jack of all trades.

But past performance doesn't necessarily translate into current performance. For example, HTC relies on Snapdragon SoC, which are horrid on battery life, but if they switch to something else, or Qualcomm comes up with a better version, then the story will be different.

Samsung is using the OMAP 4460 in the Gnex, which, to my knowledge will be the first time they've used the OMAP, so can't directly compare it to the SGSII family.

TI OMAP3630-1000 is what is used in the Motorola Droid X

and the OMAP processors are very nice in this phone, so i believe it to be a powerhouse regardless

I was talking about that the other day with a VZW rep. I was asking how he can push phones like the Bionic when he knows that there are 3 phones that will blow it away just around the corner and he actually told me that there a quite a few people that don't care what is coming they just want something right then and aren't willing to wait.

Personally, I think I would be incredibly upset. As much as I want a 4g phone (3g is horrible in my area, but 4g is great) I forced myself to wait it out a bit. I may actually wait until the Razr, Vigor and Nexus are all out before I do anything. I do hope that there are some really good BOGOs in late November for these phones.
