I feel totally out in left field right now. Had a POS stream on my phone while trying to IRC via mobile at the same time. I have absolutely no idea what I, as a Verizon customer, has in store. How does that happen. It just feels like total info overload and I'm still in the dark. I'll just have to wait for a summary post i guess. This has all been too much work.

As Verizon customers we still are not too sure what's in store. So you didn't miss much.

Saw this on the official Galaxy Nexus page re Google+: "with Hangouts you can now video chat with up to 9 people wherever you are."

9 people? Does anything else offer close to this number?
 
Well, seeing the hands-on videos, I gotta say I am MAJORLY impressed with the speed and design of it. I'm very happy.

What's the general mood in here? Happy?

Not crazy about the look of the device...it will be a stellar handset though. i'll throw on a nice cover and I'll be fine
 
I don't understand why the Verizon customers are freaking out. It's stated everywhere that it's launching on Verizon here in the US.

I'm just hoping it comes to T-Mobile; if so, I'm wishing for a Dec launch on it.

The samsung page says verizon and one of the videos of the phone says verizon so I would have to say for sure that it will be coming to verizon ;)

Because the SGS2 threw a lot of us for a loop with Verizon so some of us are kinda doubtful.

Welcome serratusPI! I don't think anything was said or published about HDMI, but there's been speculation there'd probably be some funky combined USB/HDMI port that would work with an adapter. Also the three-dot connector may(?) be some sort of dock connector (if it isn't a charging port).
