Nite!Actually, according to his LinkedIn page he is Senior Director, Android User Experience at Google. I would think he knows what he's talking about regarding ICS and native resolution.

I stand corrected. It was the Samsung guy who made the resolution statement not Matias. Regardless, I think either guy has the credentials to speak on a device their companies created together.

Nothing about the Nexus/Verizon on the Samsung website. Guess no one works on the weekend. Also nothing on the Verizon Wireless page. They should be glad I'm not running their companies. Do you think Apple would have had a product up on their page in the same circumstances?
Due respect, but let's look at the whole picture on this resolution thing.
First, they've confirmed that the Nexus S is getting ICS. It's therefore totally doable to accomodate lower resolutions.
Second, will it likely look better on a bigger HD screen? Yes, how not?
Third, beyond those facts, does it really matter who said what?
Side note - if you want a screen protector, avoid the smudge free ones and make sure that you price shop.
Many will swear they are not required. Do what's right for your situation, instincts and experiences. Sand comes in many flavors and each user has their own habits and habitat.

The Apple website has always been well managed. They were on target in the dot com days giving away email addresses, websites and reaching out to move products from their Store. Later it expanded to support the whole iTunes thing. Gotta give it up to them for that.
Then, there's the web mismanagement that is Samsung. After corresponding with them, I came to pity the poor devils working it. Like most big corporations, management above web IT believes that they accomplish things with a crappy web and putting the whole operation at the end of the food chain.
Srsly, I think Samsung has a working website in spite of upper management.

I know you can access the notifications shade from the lock screen, but can you jump directly to whatever app the notification is telling you about?

That's what the unveiling video demonstrated. They also said music controls would be in the notifications menu, which would, effectively, give us lockscreen music controls. It would be really nice if the lockscreen wallpaper defaulted to album art if music was playing, though I don't think that will happen.
I think it's simpler than that. One company learned how to capitalize the web, one did not.

Not a chance.
With the release of the iPhone 4s they've clearly spent more time and money on litigation than innovation. Suing in hopes of cutting off the competition is their only option for staying on top at this point.

Since when the native ressolution of nexus changed???? It has a display of 1280*720. But his resolution is 1196*720. Dont get thrilled and missunderstand things.

Yeah, Apple is doomed.
Forgive me, but I have a feeling that the company is fine, and that the heads there will come around to some screen size changes for their iPhones, just a tweak larger, and maybe even a removable battery on a model or two in order to draw even more interest from Android users. Stuff like that.
Meanwhile.. yay for Nexus.

Well history shows that is not an option for staying on top. Problem with patent law in our rapidly evolving world, eventually your patents become irrelevant. In the world of electronic gadgetry, that time comes quickly. Suing only encourages the competition to innovate quicker, to overcome those patents. And if what you say is true (and by all accounts, 4S is a major disappointment in the "innovation" realm) Apple's tactic will fail miserably, and along with it, Apple itself.
