Have to get ready for work but it looks like Verizon has removed "Exclusive" from their banners. I'm sure a screenshot will follow quickly.

Edit: Ninja'd!

So bad news for the adding a line folks, I just checked my plan, and because of taxes and fees, my extra line comes to 14.61 per month. Times 24 months is 350.64. 299+350.64 = 649.64. So no cheaper than buying outright (and maybe more depending on retail price), and you are signing a two year contract...

Shame on me for thinking verizon wasn't going to get theirs.

You cannot be blamed. The SGII was shown to be on Verizons lists screen shots and the like.

Good morning Gnexers! :D

Is Verizon stuck in a real quandary here?

No doubt they wanted to push the RAZR as THE phone to get. Motorola being their preferred OEM, they were going to sink their marketing resources into selling RAZRs. But: now they have seen the absolute FIRESTORM of support and demand for Nexus from us, they're bewildered as to which one to market the most heavily! After all, they owe their stockholders money... and they HAVE to go where the money is, despite their desire for locked-down, controlled phones.

Now Verizon sees the mega-dollar signs hanging over Nexus and modest demand for RAZR, at best. And they're shifting gears in a hurry.

What has happened? We've all been waiting for the game-changer. Folks, it's looking more and more like we ARE the game-changer. I would like to think that our demand for this phone has Verizon reacting to US for once... not the other way around.

What think you?
Math. All of this forum combined is what, 70,000? That its a drop in the bucket for VZW sales. You really think this is "pressure" when there are millions of unwashed masses buying into the droid line advertising? I'm all for feeling good about yourself, but keep it semi real!

Lucas needs his royalties, VZW has clearly stuck with promoting Razr.

patience is NOT one of my virtues.
Kindred spirits, we are. :D

Add me in there too please.

BUT - for me anyway - it's much easier to put that $14.61 out per month than have the $650 up front.

Sure... for 1000 twitter followers you'll know what I know.

nothing!

I'm one of those followers (when I remember to check!)

Will you pop in here and let us know when you actually receive it? I'd just like to have an idea of what to expect once we can pre-order the SGN how long it's taking for the RAZR from pre-order to in-hand...not that that's very useful or telling information...I just like to know. :D

Absolutely ......

PM1066, I never said this is the ONLY forum involved, or the only website pressuring Verizon to release the Nexus. There are, of course, untold millions who will buy into the Droid franchise to make Uncle George lots of money, but I'd be willing to bet that there are also untold millions waiting for Nexus.

And Verizon didn't really expect that (my mind wants to believe).

I see your point of view though, and appreciate your opinion :)

They also may promote their 3 new devices about the same. Instead of having a flagship phone, they'll have a flagship line of phones.

There will be people that are sold on having a "Droid" device
There will be people that are sold on having a "Beats" device
There will be people that are sold on having a "Nexus" or "Galaxy" device.

Different strokes for different folks. :)

I bet we see a lot of ad's for all three separately, and maybe a couple with them all together.

These are just my uneducated guesses though.

#@$%#$%%$$$%$#$#.......My gosh, I'm not even a Verizon customer & their still finding a way to screw with me....grrrr.....STOP THE INSANITY!!!!! LOL

Sounds like there might be a sprint version at launch? Now would they leave the lte radio in, or would it be replaced with a Wimax radio even though they are abandoning that flavor of 4g..

Can't wait to get my first android phone :)

I think i go for this, my only concern is the High Res. Hope it wont drag down the preformence.

Also no SD-card :S

You guys know some awesome youtube channels for android, i just wanna get to know what cool things i can do with the OS.

Motorola RazR and the HTC Rezound also ook like interesting phones.

Could be possible that it's in the GNex, at the bottom it does state that it hs been qualified and is in production. Then again not knowing when this actual production started would be an issue.

I sure hope so. It makes sense.

Samsung & Corning have a JV.
This new glass was developed specifically for higher resolution screens.
The GNex is Samsung's flagship ICS HD device.

All evidence seems to point to this glass being developed specifically for the GNex and beyond.

Wow, so it looks like Verizon killed off the $50 discount for the RAZR. Not a good sign for getting the GNex for $249.

not sure if this has already been debunked, but i just checked out vzw under my line(currently eligible for an upgrade) and it still shows my prce as $249.99, so i hope the gnex does this too :D
