Not to change the subject off the weather, but does anyone else find it interesting that Google is transitioning to using high resolution contact photos all over ICS, yet Google Contacts still syncs that nasty little 96x96 photo to your phone?

So what's the point in showing high resolution photos if their VERY OWN contact service won't support it?

Good point. I don't understand that at all.

You can always spot the East-Coasters... they're the ones complaining about the "snow!"

Lol. It would be much easier if they handled the removal well but it seems, in my area anyway, that no matter how much we get they can't figure out how to clear it quickly.

I refer to this:

Samsung Galaxy Nexus official dock accessories appear online | Android Community

I have one and would not have a phone without one. My Droid is also my bedside alarm clock/weather station. I absolutely love it! Can't recommend one enough :)

I am looking forward to the dock. It'll be my first. Right now my phone gets put up by my pillow and I fumble for it when the alarm goes off in the morning.

i believe that slightly off topic is fine, the mods keep us pretty well in hand

i think our reporter of off topic chattering may have been flushed out now

True, very true. Working with high level attorneys and city officials, I know that many of them are total immoral subhuman POS weasels, honestly. When I was going to law school, I started getting that way and my family quickly smacked me down to size.

I can't stand that environment, and I do think Verizon is mostly made up of those types. But I guess they all are. That new book on Steve Jobs goes on and on about what an a-hole he was to his employees...

I guess if I want to have nothing but positive experiences I'm on the wrong planet.

I would have to say so. Unfortunately it's just human nature. It doesn't affect everyone the same but far too many end up with the "God" complex that their crap don't stink.

It's partially because many of our roads origianally started as dirt paths travelled by horse. Over the years they were paved over and maybe widened but in a lot of places there simply isn't anywhere to put the cleared snow since the roads were shoe horned in between houses, etc. in the first place.

well, im one of them government workers, and we have about a dozen or so attorney's in our building. Needless to say in my line of work I have to have regular contact with them, and for the most part they seem no different than anyone else I work with. They dont come off as either aloof or obnoxious, we do butt heads every now and then when we have a difference of opinions but nothing out of the ordinary. At the end of the day, were all just as eager to get the hell out of the office and go home lol

Complete Ice Cream Sandwich Launch Q and A with Android Authorities - SlashGear

we’ve co-developed with Google+ against that integration we’ve built a new Google+ application for Ice Cream Sandwich that hooks into these features. And what it means is that Google+ can provide contact details and large high-res photos everywhere in the UI, not just in Google+ that show up and they show up in the phone, they show up in Gmail, they show up everywhere through quick contacts, that’s one point of integration with Google+.

Edit: Misread that original question. Guessing they will start using higher res pics in contacts also?

Going to finish watching this Stanford/USC game, getting a good look at Indy's next Peyton Manning.

Night, all!

I hope this doesn't sound funny but is there a galaxy nexus prime i2090T GSM coming out and if so is this the GSM version of this samsung galaxy nexus ?

Have any of you pre-ordered before? I am trying to decide between pre-ordering (if it is available) and getting in line at the store... I am wondering how long it usually takes to ship pre-orders. I am so ready to be rid of my Droid X and so anxious to get the galaxy nexus.

If u call early enough u can get it overnighted and have it next day. Or standard 2 day.
If your lucky the rep your dealing with will give u free overnight. That has happened for me before. Or I think its 12-$15 if u have to pay for it.

Model number is Nexus S. So he has his signal crossed

check this out !

The Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus will initially join the US smartphone market via Verizon Wireless, and will be using the Long Term Evolution technology. However, leaks like the GSM Galaxy Nexus FCC document, and the GSM Galaxy Nexus for Europe and Asian markets are suggesting that the device may (or may not) join AT&T and T-Mobile

Justabrake what are you trying to say here?

I'm asking is there a GSM version of the NEW galaxy nexus like the verizon version coming out ?

Everyone knows verizon is getting the nexus in america but from what that article is saying is There will be a European GSM version of the New galaxy nexus and may not go to America

So maybe that ebay auction is correct.
