Well, as a photographer that has processed and sold images to go to print in magazine publications, color accuracy on a phone is not an issue of urgency.
To me that is the only reason a phone display should get anal about color accuracy and then its silly to me.
I read the article and no where did they say anything about visibility in sunlight performance. This is something I would like to see an IPS display accomplish. Then I could find a laptop with one.

To me putting a high tech display on a LG phone is like Margret Thatcher getting breast augmentation.

At&t getting their first lte phone Nov 6. Maybe this will help get verizon to lower the phone prices.

Good morning everyone.

Finally got caught up with all I missed this weekend due to power outages, downed trees, etc. It was really fun driving in this snow and I am so glad I have a rental car. Driving my car (lowered volkswagen) in this weather is awful. All I hear is ice and frozen snow dragging across my subframe and oilpan. Oh well -- its my own fault.

Anyway I cannot wait until the 17th (or the 10th for preorder). Speaking of, I had a question regarding pre-order. My dad is the primary account holder and I am going to preorder the phone on my line. When it gets shipped out can I change the name on the shipment? I want to ship the phone to work, but using my dad's name won't work since they won't exactly know where it needs to end up. I would also need an address change, but I am assuming they do that since my dad ships his phones to work.

Also I wanted to bring this to the attention of those wanting to get some awesome use from the camera as well as just have a nice stand for the phone. I am in no way affiliated with this project, but was directed to it by a friend. I have never backed a KickStarter project before, but its an awesome feeling knowing that you are helping "the little guy's" ideas come to life. Not directly applicable to us, but I thought it was amazing nonetheless. I lived there once, makes me happy to see they are getting the cool tech at the same time as US. (Although VZ could step it up and I wouldn't mind.)

One final thought that has really been bugging me: What the frack is the big deal about a panoramic camera?! Droid x has a passable one. The Bionic actually has a really smooth one. Do folks need to get out more?

Actually those of us that do get out more have more of an interest in the panoramic feature than those who don't. I'm going on a couple of skiing and boarding trips this winter, and I would love to take some cool panoramic shots of the mountains in Denver and Santa Fe. And don't get me started with the Moto cameras. I could paint the damn thing faster than those cameras snap it.

I see the pano feature in a different light. In the event you want to frame a composition but have to back out to get it all in and then the subject matter is too small in the frame, you can just step up to give the subjects the size in the frame you want and pan them all in.

Phone cams are evolving in the low light and sensor quality department and I hope some little Japanese person is hidden away someplace working on an "optical" zoom or high quality interpolated one at least.
Then we want Zeiss or Leica to supply the glass eh? With a cam like that I would not complain about a 10mm thick phone.

no, he was referring to the RAZR, which has a nonremovable batt. the GNex has a removable battery.

It is not an OFFICIAL date yet. We are relying on the latest from Steven's source as well as various other sources on the web to come to that date.

What do you mean by "thin pix" ?

A panoramic shot by nature is wide, as in it only expands the horizontal resolution of the image, not the vertical.

Think of getting a picture developed as a panoramic on an old film camera. Same thing, but digital.

Yeh, and its a panoramic feature in the camera, not a panoramic camera, but we know what you mean.
