I suspect they contracted onto this puppy BEFORE they realized they couldn't lock or bloat it. Now they're having... buyer's remorse

EDIT: Whoops! Took a quick phone call and now I'm 10 posts behind :p

Seriously chief, I have a ton of respect but this is ridiculous...you guys actually think Verizon...the billion dollar company...doesn't know what a nexus is? Weren't they slated to get a previous version, but didn't? That's probably because at the time they weren't okay with a nexus device...you guys have to stop acting like an enormous company didn't know what they were getting into. Makes zero sense...just saying...

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree here. There's always a method to the madness, even if it doesn't make sense to us. Billion dollar companies didn't get to where they are by being completely incompetent.

some exclusive you verizon guys got I think i'll have my SGN-GSM before most of you LOL :p

Name me a single US carrier that has announced the GNex other than Verizon.

So far, every other carrier release is smoke and mirrors. Just because Verizon plays thier cards close to the vest is no reason to think it's not coming soon. After the Samsung/Google announcement, people here freaked out that Verizon wasn't getting it because they weren't part of the event. Took a few days, but the Verizon press release came out.

I think Verizon's trolling AndroidForums because 99% of us either

a) publicly disclose our hatred for Big Red
b) hold pitchforks to anything that resembles "VZW bloatware"
c) Root/ROM/Tether

#OccupyOccupyVZW

I keep hoping for an AT&T version before the year is over. My last glimmer of hope is the fact that Samsung Mobile USA on facebook keeps stating that they haven't finalized which US carriers would be getting the GNex. I don't think I'll be able to afford an unlocked GSM version from overseas.

So BMX is tweeting that he's expecting some "leaked info" regarding release date this week. He's also saying on AC that the battery on the Verizon version is bigger than the GSM one.

Now we're talking. Perhaps this will calm us a bit and stop the natural tendency to panic/speculate due to being in the dark.

Pair of launches for Verizon: Motorola DROID RAZR November 10th, Samsung GALAXY Nexus November 24th

NOV 24!!?? or later! wtf!

The Verizon MAP list isn't always right and unfortunately, the proof of this can be seen with the Samsung GALAXY Nexus. Originally thought to be coming to market on November 10, U.K. newspaper The Telegraph says it has heard from Samsung that the first Android 4.0 flavored smartphone will be launched in the States one week after the November 17th launch in Britain. A poster on Phandroid's Android Forums who claims to be a Verizon insider, says that because of the lack of Verizon's bloatware on the phone, the carrier has decided not to push too hard for its launch. The November 24th launch is not written in stone and a launch could actually take place later than that date.

who's the mole??!! haha steven58 all eyes on u haha

Can you link to BMX posts talking about that please?

No! While i'd love for all of you to get it sooner rather than later, my credit cards have been put on hiatus till they are paid off so this phone can not come out till my next paycheck (in 2 weeks)

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or 1 in your case. Time for you to prioritize. GNEX or Debtors prison.

This is just an article from someone who has no idea what they are talking about, combining a bunch of other articles from people who have no idea what they are talking about and are just quoting yet even more articles which are all speculation.

No way a phone is dropping on Thanksgiving. wrong quote. too lazy to fix.

C'mon guys, we know this one cannot be right. There is no way they'd release on Thanksgiving/Black Friday. This article is just taking the Telegraph article at its word and coming to an absurd conclusion. If they'd at least said 12/1 it'd make a little bit of sense.

Everyone remember: only one source has said it'll be later than 11/17, the Telegraph. Every other article claiming the same thing has been sourcing the Telegraph for its information. Considering how much everyone has been wrong on the release dates, let's just assume they are too. It'd be stupid to release any time after Thanksgiving.
