Good morning, everyone! Isn't it a glorious day??!!

I have a good feeling about today, yes I do! I think we're going to find out something definite today! Let's let some sunshine in, grumpy heads!

I'm despondent. No news today means no news tomorrow. Or the rest of the week. Or the rest of the month.

Good bye everyone. For good. I'm off this crazy-train.

Babyblues, it was nice to have known you. Keep those undergarments clean.

Dawnierae, I appreciate the moral support and banter back and forth in PMs.

OTD, I thank you for the recipes. I shall try one of them tonight.

Steven, thank your Love Tunnel for me when you see him next. Try not to get the leakage all over yourself.

EarlyMon, thanks for being my hero on occasion.

Chief, thanks for the conspiracy theories. I love crazy people.

CK, um, good bye.

Wow, this phone is really getting to you man...

Actually today hasn't been a great day. First, no news about the phone. Also, I just got a text message that a friend who was battling cancer passed away today. (No, I'm not joking.)

Guess I'm blue.

You people have been waiting for this handset for MONTHS and now some are thinking of bailing because they may have to wait 2-4 more weeks?

Snap out of it. Your almost to the finish line..

Nobody quits! You here me!? Nobody quits!!

I swear Im the only one who has any sense in here sometimes.....................ok never but still.

I posted earlier and got no reply so I will throw it out there again... Verizon is supposedly getting the phones in their warehouse this week. I am an Industrial Engineering major and one thing that I have learned is that a big cost for companies is the cost of holding inventory. Don't you think Verizon will want to start moving those phones ASAP rather than have them sit in the warehouse?

Presuming that the unconfirmed rumor is actually true, you might be right.

But I haven't see a picture of a big truck unloading boxes labeled "Nexus" into a VZW warehouse. Just "a top secret person that I cannot name, whose job I cannot state, said something cryptic about the possibility of shipments being received in the next few days". I'm not doubting anyone's information or authenticity... just stating that there is a lot of "rumors" that pass through that end up being wrong (or changed).

How does it make everyone feel to know that there are stacks and stacks of galaxy nexus' in verizon's warehouse, and there is absolutely nothing we can do to get one?

:(

I have some ski masks. Does anyone have a van with blacked out windows, that is fast?

To a late lunch. After that, I don't know. Back to work, I guess. Maybe to the Verizon store to pre-order the RAZR. I don't know.

No. You can't... You can't give in!

Well this is awkward. I check in in the morning and Han's all sunshine and flowers. Now... :(

On another note, Forbes reported the the GN delay (basically a rehash of the droid-life report) which is a good and a bad thing.

Good: The GN has enough publicity to warrant a report by Forbes.
Bad: The GN has enough publicity to warrant a report of its delayby Forbes.

Meh.

Yeah I know... I am hoping if they do get the phones this week that we will hear about it, or better yet they will begin pre-orders. Trying to look at this without all the conspiracies and with some optimism.:)

Galaxy Nexus Delayed to Late November - Forbes

They are just reporting on the advertising map that was leaked yesterday. Old news, way over-debated, and we still know nothing :/

Verizon's terms with the mfg will allow them to carry the inventory for sometime before it it really affects them much. They'll have to cover insurance costs, but even then it is only a small amount in the grand scheme of things. Since Verizon will be turning the inventory before the payment terms come due, they'll be ahead as far as cash flow goes for the order. I'd be surprised if they have anything less than N 30

BUT - if it's gaining this much publicity with non techie sites maybe Verizon will realize that people are looking for confirmation of a delay and/or release date?
Maybe? (Trying to do the positive thing here)

Great point, but also assumes that VZW is highly concerned about costs and efficiency. My impression of all our cellular operators is that they are more concerned about increasing revenue at the cost of us subscribers than they are about operating in a more efficient manner that might allow more competitive service costs.

Well they might ought to consider loss of goodwill because they sure are losing it:p

Do you have a link for the Forbes article?

Neverymind: Thanks darejer!

Actually EXACTLY what I was thinking. They are not happy, I'm sure, about their internal marketing doc leak. However now that Forbes has picked it up as "gospel", they just may have to do something about announcing an availability date. That is, IF they planned on it being available before Black Friday.

I would take no comment from Verizon as confirmation of that date at this point.

Spoke to someone I know that works internally at VZW and this is what he gave me. I know its nothing new to us and I have no idea how long it takes to go from testing to release, but I remember people saying the iPhone was testing up to 48 hours before release.

Just figured some end of day info would help.
My Source said:
I'm trying to get my hands on it just as bad as you man. No official release date yet, but it is in user testing already. I played with it yesterday and the phone, the screen, everything is amazing. If I hear anything I will let you know.
