Root Liquid Smooth Rom 3.1

Did you wipe data, bjanow? I know it says to, but I bet you don't have to for a point release.
 
I did simply because I was on Gingersense 2.0 for about a week. I would wipe system but not factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik, and give it a shot. If it's screwy then Tib and wipe full. Tell me when you find ICS.
 
Still have not tried out this ROM. Been using CM 7 as my daily driver. Might have to give this a whirl for the hell of it.

This ROM pretty much just a fancier AOSP ROM or does it have Sense stuff in there somewhere?

Fancier, no sense. Runs really fast, ICS stuff in there, just a fun rom to play with overall.

I found Liquid 3.0 gave me much better battery life than CM7. I plan on rolling with this ROM until something earth shattering comes out. D/Ling 3.1 now.
 
I am glad to see his releases not taking 2 months any more :D I think I may have to flash this tomorrow. Is the new market included in this rom?
 
I am Tbolt, rooted with SoaBliss. a few weeks back, I flashed Liquid3.0 and never could get my contacts to autoload on setup.. this is a dealkiller for me with 3.0.

Did I miss something?

Is 3.1 more contact friendly?
 
I'm not sure if it's an easter egg any longer, but here is what I was talking about.
Liquid settings -> Goodies -> Switch -> Install ICS Launcher.

As for contacts, I have never had an issue so you will need to try it out afaik.
 
Got the ICS launcher working but underneath that setting there is one for the status bar and you can change the status Bar to themed. Well I did that and now I have no status bar and can't change it back! Any idea's? I keep getting FC's
 
Reboot if you still get the FC then reboot recovery and fix permissions. If after that you still get FC go back to the stock status bar
 
I'm interested but I don't have time to resetup my phone atm. Has anyone tried going from 3.0 to 3.1 w/out a wipe?
 
I set up 3.1 tonight. Wiped everything possible and its pretty smooth and quick. So far so good.

Only thing I've noticed and I haven't been able to fix it, is a couple apps are showing menus floating in the middle of the screen. I got the MIUI camera working, but GO Weather still has the forecast floating in the middle of the screen.

Can you make a screen shot? I've heard other people talk about this in the past but I haven't seen it

You can see the forecast and 'day/night' slider on the left side. Underneath the temp and location.

The MIUI camera did the same thing with the menu, but went away when I played around with the size of the picture. Tried just about everything I can think of..
 
Cleared cache, data, forced closed, uninstalled, re-installed from market, re-installed from TiBu, cleared cache and dalvik in recovery, changed themes, widgets, screen density.

The MIUI camera had the pop-up menu in the exact same spot on the screen.. it scrolls with the menu at the bottom too.. not a huge deal, but its one of this nagging things that bug me.
 
I had changed every setting possible, except the background from video to stationary image. It only pops up on video. I had tried un-installing the night video and re-installling as well. Will try that again.

Guess ill leave it on image for now.
 
I have a feeling the rom isn't quite as polished as we are used to seeing from liquid. His roms are usually more spaced out than the update from 3.0 to 3.1

Can someone check to see if they can download the google plus app from the market. I am still on 3.0 and it shows as unavailable for my device on my phone currently, not sure if it is the rom or the fact I changed my screen density

Didn't know you meant Liquid 3.0.. Was wondering why i couldnt find anything on google+ 3.0... however I did download the Google+ update from the market before flashing 3.1

Maybe change the 'model' in build prop to ADR6400L?

Liquid has it as 'HTC Thunderbolt' stock. Seems to fix market errors for me.
