***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I am not sure why Verizon is releasing the RAZR first.
I think they should have released the Nexus first and then the RAZR a month later. It would have not impacted the Bionic crowd and they may have had time to add ICS to the RAZR for better sales.

Verizon sale management<<<<:p:p:p:p

I like your logic but I have a feeling that Verizon likes having more phones out with their bloatware on it. Also, a month after the nexus is on the market the price would start to drop. So you have a better phone that is now less expensive.

They should listen to you so we can get some nexus goodness now! Ha

Verizon is burning the bridge by releasing the RAZR this early in the game.
The people who brought the Bionic will never be the same again.
And if you did not buy the Bionic, you are now second guessing Verizon on anything they do.

I just hope they do not release the SGSII-HD 6 weeks from now and burn us.

So today I was thinking about Verizon's plan, and have reached the conclusion that we probably won't hear a release date until AFTER Nov. 10th. Here is my reasoning:

Verizon has the ability to install their bloatware on the Droid RAZR, and they have a history with the Droid line of phones. It seems reasonable to assume that they will want to push this line of phones, so therefore, they will want to push the Droid RAZR.

If Verizon announces a release date for the GNex before the RAZR launches, it MIGHT cause some people to wait to see both phones side by side. This potentially could cause some people to go with the bloat-free GNex over the RAZR. This is something Verizon probably does not want.

Because this is something Verizon (probably) does not want, they will try to avoid this scenario. Therefore, they will avoid announcing a release date for the GNex until AFTER the RAZR launches.

(Note: This is just speculation, and I am using basic logic here. There are a lot of "ifs", but I beliefe those "ifs" are reasonable).

Reason being the RAZR is their holiday baby. Whether we like the device or not Verizon is excited about it because its an Iconic device.

May I kindly suggest that everyone just be patient. The Nexus, as you know, is coming before the end of the year and that could very well be December. Just be prepared to wait and resign yourself to that idea and if it comes Black Friday then great.

Thats the problem with forums. We are aware of things well before anyone else so we feel like there are delays when in fact there are not. Take a break, everyone will know when there is an announcement. Obsessing over it is not healthy and won't change a thing :)

Chill out and go enjoy your day.

I definitely agree with you. I would be beyond ticked if I was a bionic owner.

Although no matter what comes out in the next 6 months, ill be happy with my Nexus. :-)

Well look what Phil at AC just posted...unconfirmed of course but hey, it's something.

Potential proof of a Nov. 17th launch.

Your logic maybe good for Verizon, but don't you thing that Google would love to release ICS asap.

Next year Verizon vs Google in a steel cage match. Ding Ding...:)

I had cleared the cache when I found it, that is why I believe must be one of the cluster servers... :D

Doesn't make sense for a server to take that long to update, but I've seen weirder things...

Had a program in school return false at an if(true){}. Professor didn't even know what was happening.
