That is true.....there so much crap floating around how can you believe any of it. I just want to hear something from verizon, things like this make me hope another carrier gets better coverage some time soon so i can jump ship on verizon I hate them im only there for the network. Granted that's a large reason why you would choose a cell phone carrier but they seem to abuse the fact that they have the best network.

Root is a given on any Android phone. Unlocked bootloaders are not.

Some phones take a while to find an exploit.

re: rooting the Gnex

I'm not sure what exactly that guy did but somebody will come up with a utility to make rooting even easier than what it already is. Maybe that's what he's eluding too idk. Worst case, there is a process I've seen called "mini-adb" which is a much smaller download than the full SDK...only what you need and nothing you don't. You place it on the root of the C:\ and type out a list of included commands in the command prompt and done. It'll be cake.

We have root that means BabyBlues doesn't have to drive elsewhere in NJ with a peace offering in one hand and my Nexus in the other hoping for some help in rooting using sdk/adb.

Now you just have an excuse for us NJ peeps to get together, watch Stephen in a hula skirt, and have a ROM party.
