n00b here. first post. Im not sure if anyone as answered this or not. but will the software buttons have haptic feedback? every phone ive used has had it and its gonna be an adjustment for me if the nexus doesnt have it. lol. not a deal breaker. im definatly getting it. just curious.

Good question welcome to the madness. I bet it has the option to have it or not. Have fun ;)

When embedding a video from youtube, does anyone know of a way to specify a time index to start the video from? I thought I saw that trick somewhere, but don't remember it.

Going crazy over here...Been watching some hands on reviews of the Razr...The Razr just got a lot closer in the race with the Nexus for me...

Can't make up my mind!!

Fans on both sides have uber-strong opinions - here's mine. :)

I am hard pressed to see anyone losing out with either choice.

Each one just so totally blows away the choices offered so recently that it seems like only yesterday. And the performance increases aren't even going to be funny.

If doubt persists, I suggest waiting until you can hold each side by side and see what your gut tells you is the best choice for you.

Meanwhile - you got it: check out the threads and see if something stands out.

Mods guarantee fair comparisons in all threads. And we promise that you may experience enthusiasm during the comparisons. ;) :) (just give us a shout if it's too much ;))

I've not seen that work with our forum software - then again, you learn something new every day! ;)

I would caution against any links with "embedded player" stuff in them. They will work, but they will screw up page formatting until a mod jumps in.

I would love to see how to do this, though! :)

You know, I've asked this question a bunch of times and no one seems to have a really good answer. The perception that Verizon has crappy phone selections. So what phone on another carrier did you wish Verizon offered?

Yet when pressed, there doesn't seem to be many phones that blew away Verizon's offerings. Obviously the SGSII, but we're getting the GNex instead. Nexus S and Nexus One maybe. But not too many after that.

I hope that perception will be squashed, as Verizon is really getting 3 very nice high end phones to thier Android lineup at the same time.

MOST Excellent Question!!

Welcome to the forums!

Trust me - Roseanne Roseannadanna was thinking of this gang when she said that people from New Jersey ask a lot of questions. Except in this thread, they tend to be dead on. :) ;)

I'm not even going to guess on the answer. Who here has a Honeycomb tablet that can give a good hint?

I pegged you as being to young to know who Roseanne Roseannadanna was. Good show.

The buttons in HC do have haptic feedback.

edit: the back and home button do, the multi-task button does not.

Uhhhhh, the Tmo guy agrees & is very jealous! If I had the option, I'd switch, but I don't so oh well

Software buttons on my Galaxy Tab have haptic feedback. Can't set the haptic on/off specifically for those buttons, but just on/off globally.

You may be forced switching to AT&T very soon.

If I were Verizon, I'd offer "conquest" offers to other carriers, like switch to us and we'll grandfather you in with unlimited data.

Right now it looks like vzw has best phones out now no matter if you are an Android or apple person. Right now price is the only factor that isn't in verizon favor imo

P3Droid's being a downer (what else is new, right?)

He sometimes has some good info, and has done some great things for the DX community, like pre-rooted updates.

But then tries to stir up things like it's a game. It is a game to him, doesn't he want 1mil twitter followers?

Just come out and say something, don't talk this crap in riddles and poems. If you can't say it, then don't. Same for BMX.

Lol. The Jersey people are slowly overtaking the thread!

I don't know about overtaking... maybe.

I keep thinking if y'all get any more personable, I'll just deputize the lot of you as New Nexicans.

Of course, I say that in hopes that everyone has finally picked up on Steven's true identity. Yes. He's none other than New Jersey, better known as one of the Hong Kong Cavaliers!

I said he was my brother - here's PROOF!

In response to this and the many others that are trying to decide which device is right for them...
As you evaluate the slightly different features and design of the newest 3 Android devices, one feature may be more important to you than others and help make the decision easy. If you still find yourself on the fence, please think about the company's attitude toward you the customer. The Android community asked for an open device. Gnex is giving us (mostly) what we asked for. It's not perfect, but my money will go to support the company that is trying to give me what I want rather than to one that wants to lock me out of my own device.

Make your choice and be happy, but if you want to really support the open nature that Android was supposed to be, you'll put a few extra points in the GNex column.
