Thanks for that! Everytime I see a new vid on this phone I think to myself that is by far the best looking phone produced to date, perfect in minimalistic fashion & design, the viscera of a thoroughbred and commanded by vanilla cream and chocolate wafers. From the front there is no other competitor.

this is my own opinion

I know! I fall in love with the design the more I see it. I love how simple and sleek it is - minimalistic like you said.

Carrier branding actually doesn't really bother me that much. I don't even notice it on my thunderbolt.

Don't kill me here but I actually like it. Only "verizon" of course.

I LOVE Verizon (i should say 'their network"). I'm proud to have a Verizon phone. Thats the first thing I look for on other people's phones. If I don't see the Verizon logo I know they don't really have a good phone.....

In my younger punk days I used to say to all my friends "If you're not on Verizon, you don't have a cell phone"

I'll check the FCC filings at 4:30-5PM tonight right before I leave work and see if anything popped up, but I highly doubt it.

Like I said, Sammy stuff usually goes through late. For example there are two sammy phones that went through yesterday, but i checked at 6pm and they weren't there yet.

Glad it helped and I had a filet cooked rare.

Is there another way to cook a steak? Anything beyond knocking the horns off and wiping it's butt is a waste of heat. :D

OK, you folks are making me hungry!! gonna have to run by the store on the way home and pick up a few choice cuts and fire up the grill tonight. :)

My daughter is sick today so I don't see steak on the menu tonight BUT I now know it will happen sometime this weekend cause it sounds so yummy!

It was a big topic of discussion for a while on the Dinc forums too. People talked about using sugar cubes to take off the Verizon branding, others said it was impossible because it was below the glass. All in all it really didn't bother me. I really don't notice it unless I'm looking for it.

Yup - me too. I do notice it on other people's phones though when trying to figure out what phone it is - seeing the branding helps narrow down what it COULD be.

Hah I love it lol :D

I've been getting a lot of the iphone4s on the best network commercials on direct tv since last night. Earlier than the verizon advertising map indicated?

Does it bug anyone else when operators put their logo on a phone? probably just me.

Well, perhaps we should give em a break on that to an extent eh?
Lets say YOU invented, or designed, or produced a device and marketed it world wide. Would you not want something there to ID you as the significant?

I would. Its when they plaster it too boldly or loudly that it gets distasteful. To me anyway. I'm considering it the small stuff and not sweating it.

Mon GN!

The advertising map we saw could be related specifically to in-store signage, not necessarily other advertising channels. Who knows?

Makes me wonder why people take such blurry, incomplete pictures. See the recent advertising map and web page showing SGN to be released on the 17th.

I blame Verizon. That's a smaller battery than the other top end HTC phones right now. Makers suggest options around price points, in the USA, the carrier makes the final choice.

Wow, I had no idea that's how the game worked, thanks. Man if I was in Verizon's shoes I'd tell them to put in the largest battery you can make work. Nobody complains about too MUCH battery life. ;)

What I hate is that you've got a choice of a crappy 1620 mAh battery, or a gargantuan 2750 mAh extended battery that completely destroys the look of your phone. 1800-2000 seems like a good sweet spot for not ruining the aesthetics of your phone and providing waking to sleeping battery life.

Of course I know Sense is particularly bloated, and that also contributes to HTC's battery life stigma.

Went to a farm in Idaho and the dinner table was set but they told me to go to the barn to get my steak. There was a big pot of hot peanut oil and one of the hands holding a giant Delmonico in a large set of thongs.
He says "How you want it?" I says "Pink Inside with a red center". He stuck in in there for a short while and plopped her on the plate. MERCY!

I wish I would have got the numbers. I was hitting the Bud Lights pretty steadily though.

Pretty certain Verizon doesn't get down to that level of detail, nor any of the other carriers do.

Carrier requirements are usually high level, such as the phone should have a screen this big, this level of performance and should last this long. It's then up the the manufacturer to design around those requirements, and derive thier own requirements, such as battery size.

There's always some give and take, but in the end, I'd bet the farm that Verizon never ever states battery size to thier vendors.

But, to your point, where other carriers might ask for two days standby, Verizon only asks for one, and hence the smaller battery.

Just got a text from my sister, who's not working today, but shared that there are some tech support employees that are pissed because they're "training too much" on RAZR, ReHound, and GNex. Too much in too short a period of time.

Good sign!

Absolutely agree.
