If the GNex doesn't isn't available this month, I will think very hard about getting a Razr instead.

I respect that, but I really don't see this going much past the first week of dec. If we find out its launching Dec. 1st or 8th, but we KNOW that (i.e. confirmed by VZW), would you still get the RAZR instead of waiting a week?

I just did exactly that (well, borrowed a Charge from a relative who got an Iphone) because I could not stand one more day with the Bionic.

Not a big fan of this team though. They've got some talent, but Vick is a complete mistake. He's not a good QB, plus all the other issues. Andy Reid seems only able to coach with two weeks to prepare (11-0 after the bye).

Not that into football at all this year. Glad the Eagles humiliated Dallas, because that just warmed my heart, but as for the rest of the season, they can fall apart for all I care. The worse they do, the more I move up in the Season Ticket wait list, so I'm also slightly biased.

Huge Iggles fan here too. Not really sold on Vick either but Kolb hasn't exactly lit it up in Arizona. And Reid is 13-0 after the bye now but you're right, not that great on game day.

My wife is a current VZW customer, and being that we just got married recently, I'm with AT&T. I want to join her on VZW with a family plan, bring my AT&T phone number with me, and get GNexes for both of us (she's eligible for an upgrade). I'm not sure I'll be able to do all that online...

I also want to make sure I get my order in as soon as they're accepting orders, so as not to get screwed by these rumored supply problems.

Can any VZW veterans or employees let me know whether or not I need to worry about the GNex being allegedly available "web-only?"

It is quite simple, add a line to her plan, pick the new plan you want and your phone, it will ask if you want to port a number, pick yes, put in your number, and finish up. You can add her upgrade at the same time. All online. VZW's page is pretty simple, but they also havev web chat people if you get stuck.

If I found out now that the GNex release was slipping into December sometime, it would take quite a bit of will power not to walk into the nearest VZW store on Friday for a Razr. Not saying I would do it, but I'd definitely think about it. I need a phone BAD. My POS Blackberry Bold freezes, shuts down, and reboots randomly, the brand new RIM battery doesn't hold a charge more than 3-4 hours, I get memory full warnings a few times a week that I can only clear by pulling the battery (and I only have 3 apps installed, but at a whopping 128mb of application memory, not surprising), and the camera quit working about a week ago. I would love nothing more than to smash that phone into a million pieces right now... :)

Like most of you, I've been following the GNex ever since we found out that VZW was passing on the GSII, and the lack of concrete information and nothing resembling a release date from VZW is frustrating to say the least. The GNex is definitely my first choice, but the news and rumors lately have been less than encouraging.
 
OTD, you wear shades when you play? Hopefully not dinosaur eye ones ;)

or lizard eyes, whatever they were, I just know they were annoying.

What have we seen that has said 12/8 on it??? You guys are doomsdayers! We've seen 11/17, 11/21, and maybe 12/1 (if the advertising calendar is to be interpreted that way). They can't give you a hard date now, because then all of those on the fence with the RAZR would wait for the Nexus. Once the RAZR is out, it will likely be announced within a few days. And it will likely not be in stores until two weeks after 11/11, so that nobody can return the RAZR's that bought them on day 1. So, I fully anticipate a pre-Thanksgiving web only purchase, followed by in stores after TG weekend.

It's all good... no worries!!! :)
