New member here, I've been following this forum for a couple weeks now and finally decided to join. I have an OG Droid with CyanogenMod7.1.0 - Droid-winner00 on it. I've been eligible for an upgrade for a couple months now and was really hoping to get the Galaxy S II but when Verizon decided not to get it I decided to wait... and I continue to wait... for the Galaxy Nexus! :)

Glad you decided to FINALLY :p:) join us. Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully nobody posted this in the time it took me to set up my account and join the board:

Sorry, you were Ninja'd.

Ill buy a case or use a pouch. It's a phone, after all. I Don't really care to look at its aesthetics when i want to use the phone itself. Like good sex, I'll probably protect it when I'm not using it and unprotect it when i am.

I had a case on my Eris, but I never really used one on my Fascinate. I've dropped this thing AT LEAST a dozen times on concrete, gravel and other not so nice to phone surfaces and it only has some light scratching where the chrome trim is. The trim by the charging port has more damage to it than anything else. Samsung makes some really strong phones.

The Windsock is tweeting that the LED blinks in red, white, green, and yellow.

Just saw that! Anyone know anything about multi-colored LEDs and how they work? Do those four colors indicate a particular range of available colors? I guess blue's the only one missing, everything else could be a mix of RGB or RYB.

I was wondering if it would show different colors. That is one thing I always liked about BlackBerry. I hope there is an option to set the colors for the notifications, that would be really nice.

EDIT: Glad he is at least giving out some information now.

It does let you do it, according to the Great Tool.

Anything else useful out of that clown?

I'll just post his tweet:

OK led blinks different colors..red when msg on issimo..yellow from gtalk..white from email..green when txt message...now I stare at the damn led all day long

One of my friends had an extra case for the OG Droid, so I took it for a day to test it out. My main problem with it was that when the case was on, the phone would not fit in the desk dock.

Unless the Nexus feels like it will need a case, or unless the curved screen is super fragile, I will not be getting a case.

That is odd. The whole ICS color scheme is blue. You would expect blue to be an option, wouldn't you?

Indeed, seems a bit weird but hey, I'm just glad its a Samsung device and it actually has an LED. That was one thing I did not like on the SGSII when I had it.
