Holy cow guys, busy or what tonight? I guess a lot of excitement, with the cases showing up in the store and whatnot.
 
I still think 15th (or at worst 16th) is the day Verizon cracks and mentions it to the world. Their past has shown a large tendency to announce 1-2 days prior to release, and if we remember back, it said 15th was the first day verizon stores were allowed to use GNex promotional materials.

Yep, I do believe you are right, assuming we are still on for the 17th, which looks pretty likely. I am going to get online in the morning pretty early, because if there is a pre-order, I think tomorrow is the day. But not too optimistic for that.
 
been lurkin this thread for about 2 weeks now and finally decided to join in on the fun
it might not mean anything (or maybe it does) but do a search on amazon.com for some gnex screen protectors and look at the release date...i would post a link but apparently i cannot do that in my first post

This is all completely reasonable and sensible - and we're seeing more of it.

Independent retailers can do this. If they fail to deliver, you have a receipt and you can get your money back.

This started with one retail outlet for the Evo 3D, spread like wildfire once blogged, and then Sprint corporate countered by taking pre-orders by virtue of a gift certificate and a name on the store list.

We had zero pre-order horror stories and I expect none forthcoming here.

Almost certainly it has already passed through, and VZW has just had a hold placed on the release of the public records. It should be out any day, but again they are holding this one as close to the chest as possible, because of the RAZR and Rezound. I am sure they are fuming that those pictures of the cases was leaked today.
 
Hey, guys. I got the tip or "untip." I wont post on Phandroid (even though all the "incriminating" evidence is blurred out).

Besides, seeing how this is not a corporate store, can't any of them technically pre-order anything? Like the Nexus Six? =p

I don't understand why companies won't realize that withholding info from the public makes us more like starving dogs that you wave a steak in front of than rational humans.
