Not at all related, but worth mentioning. get one of these when you install (or have installed) your water heater. it's CHEAP insurance to protect against flooding

Aluminum Water Heater Pan Aluminum Water Heater Pan-15282 at The Home Depot

Simply point the drain hole to your drain in the floor, or attach a short segment of garden hose.

Good luck!

Thanks. But therein lies the problem. I have no drain in my basement.

That seems to indicate that the extendable battery is the 2100 mAh one while the regular one is either 1750 or 1850 (probably 1850).

Keep in mind the Verizon LTE model already has an extended back. So my interpretation is that this is the standard 2100mAh battery for Verizon i515 model, but extended (with extended back) for GSM models.

Hard to tell, there's so much misinformation there. If it is 1750mAh, then why would it need the extended cover. If it's standard battery, then why extended? Think a lot of it is placeholder, and the details will be filled in shortly.

I want to believe its the real deal.

of course the problem is you'l forget about it and the batteries will die before you have another issue :/

That is a good idea. I will definitely check that out. Thanks.

Back on topic: I usually do not use a case but I am a bit concerned about the camera lens/cover. Looks like it could get scratched up pretty easily when the phone is put down (not that it will be put down often;)). I may take a look at the silicone type covers for the back if it is not too bulky.

Agreed. Asking them about when the GNex is coming will not reduce them to tears. The more times they talk about customers asking about the SGN, the more managers and other upper-level people will get a clue.

We don't need to be rude, I agree, but we also don't need to be iSheep either.

Boooo. i'm not for any type of harassing CS reps about phones that are not released. They don't know anything and tying them up over the same question is a bit childish in my honest opinion.

Just be patient guys it will come. Don't hassle these people at work. Keep them free for real questions and issues. This is getting to be like kids throwing a tantrum. Just my opinion. sorry to offend but it's the truth

I do have to say, I love the idea of a 2100 extended battery, whether it comes with our phone or not. HTC puts these godawful humps on their backs with their extended batteries, and I hate it. Why can't we get just enough bump to get us through a full day with a small reserve. And if it comes with a 2100 as the stock battery... well, kudos to all.

Couldn't agree more BV. These CSR reps don't have any info on upcoming products. Anyone who thinks calling them up and trying to get them to "spill-the-beans" is going to get any info is dreaming. As Stephen pointed out earlier, the CSR reps who actually know a little bit about this phone are enthusiasts like us, and often browse these forums for some info.

While we have a general consensus that CSR reps are clueless, they are people just like us trying to make a living and tow the company line and not get fired. Give em a little bit of slack.

Remember, you attact more flies with honey than vinegar.

Agree with both of you on this point and if VZW is indeed monitoring forums they no doubt realize the shenanigans going on. The CSR's are playin' the playas. lol

I want to believe too!

I got bumbped 11 months...I posted earlier. Took me three calls but it was worth it.

I was able to do the same last night. My conversation with the rep went very well. She was the first and only one I had to talk to. She said the only phone I couldn't have was the i-Crap. When I told her I wanted the SGN, she told me she hadn't heard about it. She asked a little info, and told me she'd set up a call back for one week from last night. As we got ready to conclude our conversation, I asked her if she put in my accounts notes that I was being given a early upgrade for the SGN, and I'd be getting a call back. I could tell she was uncomfortable about the SGN part as her breathing changed when I said this. She asked me to hold, and a few minutes later came back telling me the notes were on my account. She told me she put in there I was getting an early upgrade for the SGN and would receive a call from her in less than one week to order the phone.

What struck me as odd was how she put me on hold. Was this to verify with someone the phone existed? Was it to also see when it'd be available to order? It's weird she told me she'd call me back in less than one week since the whole conversation we both said it'd be over a week to maybe a month. I am guessing she just made a simple mistake, but maybe not. Either way, I'm glad I got an early upgrade as well.

My OG droid is dying, literally. It takes 30 seconds to even open up text messaging.

Come on nexus!

I'm in the same boat. Getting about 2-3 reboots each day, although I put the blame for that mostly on CM7.1. Also, I blame this thread.

You know, I just had a thought. A couple different reps have pushed the Bionic today, how much do you want to wager they get an extra commission for selling a Bionic?

I'm on this thread constantly. Computer & Mobile... Borderline Obsessive lol (which I'm sure many of you can relate to :p) I finally have something to take my mind off the SGN for a little while. Got a text from GameStop last night saying that I can pick up my copy of Skyrim at Midnight tonight. :D Hopefully that can preoccupy me for a little while so I can recover from some of this SGN Madness. :)

hello all (first post :P)

i came across this thread about 3 days ago i think, and i was on the last page of this thread which was fun to see people like me that cant wait to get their hands on the GN.

i stumble on this thread again yesterday night searching google for news on GN. i saw that there was atleast 25 new pages, so i started reading around 11 pm last night, and kept on reading and reading and reading, and everytime someone posted an article about GN on here or that damn addictive RAZR game on enter to win the RAZR made me side track and more pages were added to this thread. i read as people raced through to get the 25k title (congrats to hans btw :P). around 3 am after all the side tracks i was only 2 pages away but i couldnt keep my eyes open, so i bookmarked this thread and went to sleep.

caught up this morning. i really enjoyed this thread so far, maybe because we are all crazy, or maybe the mods are sending subliminal messages through to keep as hooked (i think it will be a record on this website if i get banned on my first post lol) . its so freaking addictive.

I want to warmly welcome the new folks! Thanks for taking my invitation seriously. Glad and honored to see you!

Sincerely,
Steven

No offense taken. I think some of us just disagree on what constitutes harassment.

That's what I don't like about HTC phones. Their phones are pretty bulky but have tiny batteries compared to others. And Sense, current qualcomm LTE are big battery hogs, so they really needs to step up to put in big enough standard battery.

Can a Verizon kiosk rep not bump upgrades? I'd just wait until then to do it.

I'd just call, be nice, and inquisitive. I think you'll find that'll work better than going to the store. By calling, you have more people to talk to, by going to the store, you only have one person to talk to.

Disagree. How do you think that is going to work? There are about 10 layers between the CSRs and the people who make the decisions about releasing phones. Do you really think that CSRs getting hassled a little more about something is going to have ANY affect on Verizon's decision-making process? They get hundreds, if not thousands, of calls on a daily basis about re-stocking fees, early termination fees, the 14-day return policy, etc., and that is not changing anything.

It might make for an entertaining post, but bugging people who have no role in or effect on the decision-making process seems to me to be a bit antagonistic. If you want the managers to get a clue, then talk to a manager. Don't waste your time on someone reading from a script.
