mine says something about check terminal emulator "a2sd check". least u got that far
Did you remove any bloat? May not have enough system memory for proper install. Was getting the same error. Clearing up sauce took care o mine...
So does anyone have ciq removed on gb? Optimus indicates that he's not seeing it, I've tried the kernel he put together and Kouma's and iq agent still shows up under running service.Trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong. Is there another step besides flashing the zip that needs to be taken? Factory reset perhaps?
Removing it in the kernel is just one part of the equation. Bloodawn is the resident expert on tracking down all the apk's that will still launch it. The service driver resides in the /system partition, so CIQ is really only truly removed by a CIQ removed ROM/Theme.
Keep an eye on Blood's threads for GB updated versions of his most popular mods.

I got the message on my phone to update but I have not. I have Rooted Froyo.EE14. I only rooted for tethering. I used the PrevailToExist. to root. What do I need to do, to get Gingerbread and root? Thanks in advance guys

Is there a guide or something detailing in steps what I need to do? I tried searching this thread. Im sure I missed something.yeah, you'll have to root again after updating.
many people have had to odin their phones back to stock (myself included) in order to be able to upgrade to GB.
of course, if you're going to odin your phone to stock, you might as well odin it to one of the GB images![]()
Okay, this is where I am at, and the steps I have taken. gb stock > root with ocr > latest cwm, stick > partition with CWM, factory reset to format partitions, install CT Mod 2.0 (which is great by the way). reboot.
Okay, this is what i don't understand. When connected to pc via usb cable, neither eeasus, or mini tool see the sd-ext partition in windows, nor does gparted in Linux Mint. They do see the fat32 5.5 gb of a 8 gb card. So I new something was there.
unmounted card and put it into card reader and inserted in pc. Voila, there was the 2 GB sd-ext.
Formatted to ext4 and popped back in phone, installed inigo's a2sd and everything is now great. but still no go with the partition managers seeing the partition. Any clues?
It works, and that is what matters. Thanks all of the developers!

I've never tried doing anything with the extended partitions on the sdcard while it was in the phone. Since the phone keeps the ext partition mounted when it passes the fat partition to the USB, I assume that the device itself is not truly visible to your PC, just the partition that the phone shares
but I could and that is how I did it in froyo with mods and it worked. I don't see it as an issue, now that I know what to do, but I was wondering if anybody else has also seen this, or if it was just me.
