Good morning GNexers, does anybody know if the unsubsidized phone in verizon will be sim free?.. I'm thinking about ship it to Colombia but i'm afraid about that.

Oh Crap :/ I just thought of something...

I don't know how many people use Swipe, but if you do its a insanely addictive keyboard... I wonder if it works on ICS?

this wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but I'd cry daily until I learned to tap instead of slide again :/

I'm going to go post on their forums, If I get a answer I'll report back..

I haven't tried swipe yet. The charge has it so i started the tutorial once but had a hard time catching on. I have a strange curiosity about it but the autocorrect just typing sucks so I can't see it being better with swipe? What's your experience been?

so it seems like people feel cautiously optimistic about the 17th... but still not even any accessories leaked etc? Does that line up with the last galaxy release? Suddenly drops?

Actually accesories have leaked. Cases have already shown up at vzw stores

I was a Swype user for about a year, but recently I got really irritated with the auto correct not working as well as it should. I'm on Swift Key X now, and it's awesome. The buttons could be a bit bigger or more spaced out, but the predict engine and correction features are amazing.

Verizon is getting more and more unpredictable lately, so who knows what those idiots are doing.

oh that's right, i forgot about those.... I guess I sort of discounted them... I mean like the docks and typical onslaught of accessories.... wasn't that only like 2 cases on Monday?

Good morning all!

This is a concern of mine as well. Also I use Touchdown since it is the only app that will pull in my work email (sync is disabled by work). This allows me to forward my calls and only carry one phone. It will be a downer if I have to carry 2 phones around again.

That would be unfortunate. Two phones is a pain!

There's one app that does swype, tap, and handwriting....i think it's flex type or something like that? Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Edit: Check out FlexT9

This is my one of my favorite keyboards (right up there with SmartKeyboard Pro and SwiftKey). I don't use the handwriting, but it's a nice feature to have, and it seems pretty accurate based on the little bit that I played around with it.

Swype auto correct was a bit wonky for awhile there. However over the last one or two updates it has gotten much better. I never tried Swift Key X. I will give it a try.

Stopped by my local VZW corporate store last night, played with the Razr for a few minutes. That screen was uncomfortably warm just SITTING there, I can't imagine how hot it gets when you actually use it a lot..... (nods to Steven)

I am 6'4" with big hands, so it felt comfortable to me, size-wise, but after a few minutes of playing with it, my conclusion was:

A thinner and wider Bionic with hopefully less bugs and a non-removeable battery. I'll PASS.

Then I got one of the managers that I am friendly with (we know each other outside of the store) to slip me the ReZound that they arent supposed to let anybody see until MONDAY.....

The sound from the BEATS Audio is AWESOME! The screen is GORGEOUS! I really like the new Sense 3.5! The thickness of the phone isn't THAT bad, to me.

But I still passed.

Thanks for helping me STAY STRONG BabyBlues!!! I only get ONE CHANCE to swap out this Bionic, and I. AM. WAITING. FOR . THE. NEXUS!

I will be grumpy if I have to wait past Thanksgiving, but I will be grumpy and WAITING. :p

And in case you thought WE were obesssed with The Nexus....... :p

how long ago did you get your bionic? is it less than 14 days and you can swap out? cause i need to get out of mine immediately.

Agreed. I was thinking about going to Verizon today to check it out in more detail and submit myself to more temptation, but this review and others have made me think that's it just another Motorola "meh" device. Nothing earth shattering, screen and camera aren't up to par, as usual.

I keep wanting to try Swift Key, I got it from the amazon market when it was free for a day. The prediction on Swype could be a lot better, but I just have trouble giving up tracing the words, its SO fast...

I have a feeling most/all 3rd party keyboards are going to take awhile to update if Google changed a lot. Keyboards are tied into the OS a lot more then most things...

I don't plan on going out of my way for it. I've really come to dislike the aesthetics of the phone so I debt find it as tempting as I would have a few months ago. Funny thing is when the Razr buzz started it was what led me to finding the Gnex! I was planning on getting it but got quickly swayed... Can't say this forum wasn't the final straw!

This has been posted before, but I believe it is important to remember this. All those Customer Service Reps etc that everyone is talking to on the website, they know less than we know. They hear the rumor that the Galaxy Nexus is being released on the 17th, so they tell people that ask that it will be released on the 17th. If a particular rep only hears that it will be released on the 21st, or December 2nd, then that's what they will report.

Against this has already been said, but just because a CSR said the 17th doesn't make it true. They may have simply heard it from us and are just passing on what we already know. It is very much a continuous loop of supposed knowledge.

Take everything with a grain of salt. The phone will release when it releases and us reporting the 17th so that the CSR's report the 17th is not proof that it will release the 17th. Stay strong and keep your sights set on the Galaxy Nexus. It will release shortly and it WILL be worth holding out for. Do not give in and buy the Razr or any other phone.

Just keep in mind that spreading rumors for the sake of spreading rumors hurts everyone. The CSR's don't know any more than we do, and in all liklihood they know less than we do. I'm not trying to dash anyone's hopes, just keep in mind that no date is set in stone until you have the phone in your hands.

All of you are here because you REALLY want Ice Cream Sandwich. It will come. It will happen. Keep your spirits high. It's coming soon.

Hate to say it and I won't hijack the thread, but you're going to find yourself on an island with this one. Pretty much everyone reviewing it (myself included) has found the camera to be a huge improvement over the Bionic, especially speed wise. Quite frankly, it wasn't even close. It seemed to take the Bionic 5 seconds to autofocus and 5 for the shutter. Takes about 2 seconds TOTAL now. Just sayin'...

I have to concur. That camera its nowhere near as slow or hard to focus as the Bionic's. It was a pleasant surprise. Good news for those picking one up today. Seems users can't go wrong with the GNex, Vigor, or RAZR cameras.

Or as I like to call it....The rumor wheel comes full circle and starts feeding itself.
