lol. Not going with RAZR. I'll probably go with one of my sister's phones. She's got like 4 or 5 of them lying around. It will just suck because she'll have to ship it to me from out of state.
We will forgive you if u get one, and return if u decide you still want Gnex. You were legitimately thinking about the RAZR so I dont think u can be accused of buying just to return.

This happens to my OG Droid a few times a month too. It actually happened to me yesterday after I rebooted it. Lasted for a good half hour. A trick that sometimes helps get it out of it's funk is to plug it into it's charger (yesterday my car charger got it to display again). Sometimes it works in the dock. Sometimes it takes repeated attempts. I wouldn't throw in the towel yet. Try plugging it in to different things (car charger/computer/dock or wall charger)
Han - you have the charging light on the side near the USB port? Do you get the flashing red battery indicator? Do you get ANYTHING when its plugged in?
My OG Droid is sitting in front of me working decently, except horrible battery life.

Come to think I had a similar problem with my incredible after it went through wash. Try pulling battery, then replacing and plugging in without turning on. Let it sit for a while, then try to turn it on.
P.s. welcome, and thanks for the great first post!

If this had happened yesterday, I probably would go that route. But reading reviews of the RAZR have kind of soured me on it, and I do see the point that it's wrong to get it, knowing I'd return it once Nexus comes out.
I ping'd my sister on Yahoo Messenger and told her what happened. She finds it amusing and will send me her Blackberry. Freaking Blackberry! I asked her for her old iPhone that she doesn't use anymore, but she says that she is trying to sell it and wants to keep it close.

Mine either BUT I know that it's going to be worth it to wait. The plus for me is that I have finally decided to use my 'spare change' jar for this phone. It's once of the big containers from potato flakes and it's FULL. Going to the bank tomorrow to empty that baby and have the cash in hand and waiting for the 17th.
Stopped by my local VZW corporate store last night, played with the Razr for a few minutes. That screen was uncomfortably warm just SITTING there, I can't imagine how hot it gets when you actually use it a lot..... (nods to Steven)
I am 6'4" with big hands, so it felt comfortable to me, size-wise, but after a few minutes of playing with it, my conclusion was:
A thinner and wider Bionic with hopefully less bugs and a non-removeable battery. I'll PASS.
Then I got one of the managers that I am friendly with (we know each other outside of the store) to slip me the ReZound that they arent supposed to let anybody see until MONDAY.....
The sound from the BEATS Audio is AWESOME! The screen is GORGEOUS! I really like the new Sense 3.5! The thickness of the phone isn't THAT bad, to me.
But I still passed.
Thanks for helping me STAY STRONG BabyBlues!!! I only get ONE CHANCE to swap out this Bionic, and I. AM. WAITING. FOR . THE. NEXUS!
I will be grumpy if I have to wait past Thanksgiving, but I will be grumpy and WAITING.
And in case you thought WE were obesssed with The Nexus.......
I mean this in a nice way but you have got to be like a tree.....6'4" - you've got me by a solid foot and then some (unless I have on my heels which are all no less than 3 inches, most being 4 or 5)
Im not a huge fan of predictive corrections. My understanding is that its based on previous typing? But it seems (at least with the native charge keyboard) that it's not very accurate, especially with shorter words. Now part of this may be attributed to the fact that I have multiple 'styles' of writing. I use more or less proper language depending on who Im texting /emailing /forums so maybe that has something to do with it?
Good morning,I think I will go into the Verizon store today and make a scene till they sell me a Galaxy Nexus.I can only hope the store is packed with Razr customers.

I like Swiftkey on my Dinc and hated it on my tablet. The predictive selection is easy on the smaller phone screen but too cumbersome on the larger tablet screen. I went back to the stock KB on my Thrive and I've not looked back.
I just can't believe it. It was seriously running flawlessly til now. Doesn't make sense. I almost think that there's like a "2 year chip" in there somewhere that just makes it crap out on time so that you have to upgrade.
I emailed my wife and she emailed back saying "lol. Get the iPhone."

No worries - my keyboard doesn't light up sometimes either. Neither do the capacitive buttons. My guess is it's frozen in an off state. The OS will eventually catch up and respond again. Keep your head up, however I will understand if you decide to light the phone on fire. I'll throw mine in for the bonfire.
Verizon has a press conference on Nov 16 to talk about their expanding LTE coverage. At this conference, they're also going to pay tribute to Steve Jobs. The way they're doing that is at the end they are going to say, "And one more thing. Samsung Galaxy Nexus, available nationwide tomorrow."
I think the forces are aligning! this is such a good month (except for the snow yesterday with low 70s earlier in the week - Michigan is a strange place sometimes)...
Today - puppIES (yes now rescuing two for those who saw my earlier posts).
17th - Gnex... Which in theory will be free with selling my charge back and swiping another lines upgrade
Whole month - new house!
Hate to say it and I won't hijack the thread, but you're going to find yourself on an island with this one. Pretty much everyone reviewing it (myself included) has found the camera to be a huge improvement over the Bionic, especially speed wise. Quite frankly, it wasn't even close. It seemed to take the Bionic 5 seconds to autofocus and 5 for the shutter. Takes about 2 seconds TOTAL now. Just sayin'...
