So this means that as of this press release, the Gnex was still on for 11/17?(Press release was 11-9-11)
The gnex is not a galaxy s phone. They were just elaborating that the stratosphere is a galaxy s phone.

Me too. Quite a few of my patients work for Verizon here in metro detroid. I always try to ask them about new phones, unfortunately they usually know less than I do.
EDIT: Just saw I put "detroid" in stead of Detroit. Was that a freudian slip?

The camera on mine won't focus 9 times out of 10. I either have to smack the phone down on a table or repeatedly press the physical camera button halfway down a bunch of times. This is extremely frustrating when I'm trying to take a photo of my kids.

Hmmm...we may be overthinking this one a bit, since technically if you have a "Galaxy S Device" in your hands now and have LTE where you are it is supported. And we do know a few are floating around in the wilderness. Or I may be overthinking it. Who knows at this point...my brain is a puddle of Nexus goo.

I have to say the camera on my D3 has alot to be desired. The camera is a huge reason at looking at the Nexus.

Their punctuation would be very strange, using an appositive in the middle of a comma'd list. But it's possible I guess. (Excuse the English terminology)

I had a hands on with the OGD about 2 months before launch. I felt so cool haha.
My Droid died earlier this year. Wouldn't even boot up right.
Turns out it was the microSD card that had gone bad!
I replaced the stock 16GB card with a standby 32GB card and she has worked well (well, as well as can be expected of a 20year old Droid
) ever since.
Just hoping she'll hold out until Gnex releases...

My phone is working again!!!
I left the battery out for a few minutes, popped it back in, plugged it into the computer, and the USB light came on and then it rebooted by itself!
Frakking Droid. Almost gave me a heart attack! I'm going to buy lunch and a massage for it today.

I get the same feeling when I get mine working again. Glad you could get it to display again this time. I swear it's just that the phone is frozen and you gotta nudge it a bit to be responsive again. Very similiar to the elderly.

I use Chrome at home, but unforuntately we use IE8 at work. I'll check it out later today.

Happened to mine ivwr the summer too but with work I wasn't in a position to keep nudging it along. Forced me to use my lines upgrade back in July
Yeah, it's just poor punctuation. The Samsung page clearly states it's a Galaxy S phone.

Remember when there was the issue with the internal time causing focusing issues on the OG Droid? Man those were the days.

D'oh!
I gave up on using the ogd for any useful pix. It seems to be a trend with Motorola, not sure if it is hardware or firmware/software. In the end, it doesn't matter, just poor cameras.
This is one of the many reasons I want the gnex. It apparently has a (very) usable camera.
