I would rather have a rezound for 2 months, than be still waiting for a sgn

Unless Verizon "Wants" many $35 restocked phones, I would think that they would annouce release date info for the SGN with the same time that this "Super Return Period" is available. I can't imagine they are making money on turning new phones into refurbs for $35

quick question for you android geniuses

coming from iphones and researching this on my own , im under the assumption that the sgs2 from att has a better gpu on it and pairs up against the SGN pretty good?

At this point it doesnt look like its even coming to att anyways so would getting the sgs2 really be that bad? Once it gets ICS , wont it be right there with the SGN in terms of specs / features?

UPDATE: 11/14/2011 – We have received word from our supplier that we will NOT receive stock this week. Stock is expected to ship to “early next week”. These were the exact words from our supplier who is direct with Samsung. If you have checked elsewhere for the stock, you will also see (if they are honest with their customers) that they will not be getting their stock as expected. This is not such a “delay” as it is a later arrival on the stock that expected. We do know that Canada/USA and Hong Kong launch was officially delayed until December 8th, 2011. The stock we have secured is not part of that delay. This is the best information that we have, and the most current. If you have any questions at all you can email support@negrielectronics.com
Thank you for your time. We will update this blog regularly so that you have the most up to date information.

The extended return period is a holiday thing. It is for people that buy others phones for Christmas or Hanukkah. It is more or less designed to get people into the store and buying phones without having to worry about the recipient being able to return it if they don't like it. It really doesn't have anything to do with phone release dates. I would even go so far as to say that the majority of returns have never even been activated.
 
Why do all these people keep saying they will wait for a quad core phone if GNex isn't out by X date?

There are phones out with equal / better specs right now if you really just want that...
If you are going to wait for quad core then the things the GNex is about really aren't for you anyways (Google experience, quick updates, etc)

And do you think you won't go through a similar situation with any of the first quad-core phones that are going to be released...? You will just wait 3-6 months to go through the same thing all over again.

Where is this information coming from? I am assuming it comes from Hong Kong considering the broken English towards the end of the email?

HK and USA and Canada use three totally different versions of the phone - I am very confused.

Have fun with your super powerful phone running an old version of Android. I'm not getting the Nexus because it's the most technically superior phone, I'm getting it because it's a Nexus and I will wait as long as it takes.

Can certainly understand that.. need a new Craigslist personals section perhaps.

Nexian seeks same (possible NFC-enhancement considered for others - please no iOS-equipped need apply) for meaningful beaming sessions. Likes long browsing sessions in 4G, ice cream sandwiches, display curves and an eye-pleasing large screen. Hangouts optional, but will be considered.

Here is a comparsion:

Galaxy Nexus vs Samsung Galaxy S II - Pocket-lint

Nexus has a better display but SGS2 has a better gaming/video processor I believe.

Also, Nexus doesn't have SD card but I'm not sure you really need it? We'll see.

Someone add?

It's funny. I told them I was a moderator on Android Forums and she told me that she had training on it. I also told the level 2 tech guy I was a mod when he asked if I tried this or that to try to fix my dx. So, he sent me a refurb. Who knows? Maybe I can now wait for the quad core. ;) :p

This just reminded me of Dumb & Dumber.


Steven finds out about a shipment of Nexi so he drives to warehouse. He blows past the gate. Throws his car in park. Jumps out his car and starts sprinting to the nearest door. The guard, running from his booth, yells, "STOP! YOU AREN'T ALLOWED IN THERE! STOP NOW!".

Steven yells back, "IT'S OKAY! I'M A MOD ON ANDROID FORUMS!". :p:D:)

I doubt the 1st phone running a quad on vzn will be running an old version of android, but if it makes you feel better ok
