***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I bought a RAZR on first day 11/11 and really like MotoCast where I don't have to download my music or files on the phone. Is there something similar "cloud based service" in the Marketplace or elsewhere that I can purchase if I decided to return my RAZR for the GNEX?

amazon music, box.net, dropbox

Verizon always has a 3 or 4 day web sale on their site, the 3 day sale ends today (17)so around 2:00 am they update it, I wonder if there will be any Nexus news on there? Of course the Rezound had nothing just the phone just listed on launch day...we'll see.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet. Verizon has updated their 4G coverage map - added my area (Blacksburg/Christiansburg, VA) that has had coverage for a while but which had not yet been officially announced as having it.

I superimposed it over a Google satellite map - wouldn't you know, solid 4G coverage (supposedly) ends at my driveway!

I have to agree-- one of the best unspoken features of the RAZR. Screw the Cloud. Who needs to remember to upload content. This just streams pics, movies, and music directly from your home computer(s)- which obviously needs to stay on.

Is there anything comparable in the market?

So I sent a e-mail to VZW asking to get my "upgrade date" bumped to 11/20, hopefully they'll do it :)

I really don't to want to have to call a bunch of times and cry and whine and what not. It's unbecoming for a guy. :P

OH YEA just checked the verizon 4G LTE website and its says my house is now in a 4G network ( they just turned it on today ) so excited for 4g speeds no more buffering when listening to pandora!

Shouldn't we all be getting emails from google and VW soon? I mean if you signed up for info.

As has been said by others, I expect I will have my SGN in my hand before I get one of those emails.

It is my hope that they will have the demo phone in stock and maybe even sell the sgn to me a little early?

Hey, I live in a fantasy world. I can dream can't I ?

I live in my own little fantasy world, too...but it's okay, they know me here. ;)

That is one of the main reasons I have been considering the razr over any other phone. If the GN didn't have ICS I would have me a new razr for sure.

I hardly have 3G service in my town. My 4G toggle will remain on "OFF" for the majority of my Galaxy's life. :(

Most of Metro Detroit has great 4g coverage except a few key areas -- downtown Detroit (and seriously WTF is that about? maybe building interference I'm thinking, but it's annoying regardless) and my NEW house is in a dead zone! even 3g is horrible on my block, but round the corner and up the street, it's fine 4g territory again. Very annoying.

Hey, I live in a fantasy world. I can dream can't I ?

I'm with ya there. Dreampt about the failed Bionic back in february, then again in july, possibly as well through august till I ran into this and said cya Bionic anf Brokenberry meet your successor. Thankfully it's still worked up to this point and now after a month more of torture and hearing from people over all these phones "I can't wait, it's just in time for my birthday"... I now get to say just in time for mine on the 22nd.

Hmm... now who do I bug for it as a present? Possibly senile grandma(Not droid)? Enjoyed the thread the whole way... thankfully my work can be done quickly so they have no idea I've blown countless hours here ;)

What... I'm sure Louis would've wanted a Gnex too! Obviously he was singing that song from the perspective of our Prime.

Tell them you're buying it as a gift, so you don't want to open it until you know it's what they want

I think they will make you pay full retail, or actiate a new line at the very least.... Unless you try to spin that you'll just use your own upgrade, activate and transfer over... Hmm good food for thought though... But at the moment I don't see how they could let you walk out with a subsidized phone with no activated line...

So they started to get the posters at some of the stores today. I know we have people that work for Verizon, Best Buy and Walmart on here can any of you look up the inventory page again and see if you have Galaxy Nexus on route to you?

I go in to work later on today (Best Buy). I've been looking everyday that I work but haven't found anything yet/ I have a feeling that today may be different though. With the advertisement and merchandising already pouring in some Verizon locations, I'm pretty sure there's something I can dig up. We did get the ReZounds before the Verizon store down the street from us so....one can dream, right?

Anyways, soon as I hear or see something, It'll be here first.

This may have been asked already, didn't see it in the past few pages, but will Verizon make an official announcment or could this simply be a silent launch? Also, how quickly do you guys think the phone will sell out, should I order it online just to be safe, or should all stores be getting at least a few in stock?
