Why? We now know that the phone is (more than likely) coming out next week. Reviews of the UK version are going to start blasting all over the net. There was a ton of new information that just came out this morning. I think this has been one of the better "news" days for quite a while.

Just sit back, relax and enjoy the information overload that is about to happen. It should be fun. :D

While a lot of people are upset with Verizon and how they "hold" information I have to say that I have always been a fanboy of Verizon (not an employee...just a fan). I mean who can argue with great, reliable coverage AND stellar customer service (as evidenced by several people in this thread and the quoted example). There were rumors years ago about the cell providers getting out of the phone business and just offering the service...so I can't say that it's necessarily something they "enjoy" doing...selling the phones. The thing to remember is everyone gets worked up about rumors (including myself) and we need to remember, nothing has been promised by Verizon. They have told no lies so far... Trust me, it's frusturating that they can't just say here's the date...but that may hurt other business plans for them. The thing to remember is they are the best provider PERIOD. (IMHO)

I want to say that I remember that too. So it could be the same smoke stack aiming at both of us if that is the case.

I don't believe that tweet about the 18th at all. With everything we heard yesterday and with zero news, the 18th just seems beyond wishful thinking.

Unless of course it's a online first sale, I don't see how we couldn't get more leaks by the end of today, or at the very latest the end of tomorrow if it was coming on the 21st.
 
Been watching the slew of new videos that are rolling out (don't care if most are UK version) and, dangit, I think I'm getting the 'ol itch.

There is some chance the instant it's available I'm going to drop anything and everything I'm doing and go throw wads of cash at my local VZW store.
 
Does anyone in here think that the face unlock is really going to end up being anything more than a novelty? Unless you have some 18-line pattern, it seems like the pattern unlock will still be easier and quicker.

Kinda but not really... Google Wallet is now replacing Google Checkout. It just links a credit card to your account so when you buy something from the Android Market it gets charged through Google Wallet.

Now, the Google Wallet we are talking about here is the app thats on the Sprint Nexus S 4G that allows for NFC payments. It will NOT be on the Verizon Nexus and you can quote me on that.

Not trying to be a Debby downer or anything, just being realistic.

That is what I was saying about information overload. We have reached the point were the secret keepers aren't as concerned about their secrets. Things will start going crazy here over the next few days. This is what typically happens this close to launch.
