Phases, I just want to warn you that if you throw wads of cash at the local VZW store someone might steal your money off the ground when it falls. I advise you of handing the wad of cash to the VZW employee and tell them it is to buy the Galaxy Nexus.
On a side note it could be fun to pay for the phone in one dollar bills and make it rain
I Think im going to go change in 300$ and get rolled pennies and buy my phone with those.....just to piss of verizon in anyway that i can, they seem to do that to me quite regularly

First, welcome to the forums!
Second, does your wife work at a corporate Verizon store or an "authorized retailer"? There were rumors of a soft launch and supply problems and a web only launch, so the early December release would make sense if she worked at a 3rd party retailer.

She said a Samsung rep is coming by and she should have a test Nexus in the store tomorrow. She said I might be able to come play with it.

VZW stores will probably carry them. In fact I thought that there was a pick of one from the VZW store about 20 pages back. HMMM

I will try to compare all three of them together while I'm there. I'm hoping they will let me shoot some video, but I think it is doubtful if the Samsung rep is there.
Hardly. If I was on AT&T and lived in one of their 4G areas, I would go get a Skryrocket right now.
But I'm not, and I don't, so I suppose the Gnex is my only option

4g wont show up in my area for another 3 years at best.
I wish I even knew how to do that and/or redact the information contained in the e-mail so as to not get my wife in trouble. E-mail does say that all dates are subject to change so hopefully it will be launched next week. It feels like I've been waiting forever for this phone.
Shoot the Samsung Rep and then shoot the video. If anyone else at the store questions you, point to the Samsung Rep.

As I posted last night, a rep at a Verizon Wireless store yesterday showed me a Galaxy Nexus case with a plastic belt clip. OK, I saw the photo on the box—I did not ask him to open the box (he had to get special manager permission just to show me that). The case apparently has a kickstand, too.

Retailers are not Corporate Stores and are not online retailers. MAYBE the release at first will be held for Corporate Stores and online only, then releasing to authorized retailers later.

Ooooh, that would suck. They already have that in the store though. Not a bad phone really, just behind the times. Great for anyone that wants amoled and a keyboard right now.

Hey, I want to know why on earth there is no Google branding, on Google's phone. WTH?! If Google is considering the international version to be the branded Google phone, then I think VZW should be able to call theirs by a different name. You thinking what I'm thinking?

So my friend's VZW buddy responded about the Black Friday release and said he's fairly confident of this date and that it was what everyone was saying. I asked if he thought it was the week of Black Friday or Black Friday itself and he said Black Friday. FWIW...

Testman site is up and running with no changes except for some $20 promotion on new lines although the image looks like something made 7-8 years ago with flip phones with 1.3MP camers built into them.
Got a call back from Verizon executives today who told me the information was confidential and any delay was caused by software issues. She wouldn't apply a discount to my account though, but figured it was worth a shot.

She works for an authorized deal not a corporate store.
