Why would you give them your phone? Unless you plan to donate it? or do the "buy-back" thing?

If you planing to give it to them, I would WIPE the phone COMPLETELY, before giving it to them, I wouldn't trust anyone with the data on it.

also unroot and install a stock ROM if your running a custom one.

Thanks! I don't plan on giving them the phone for buy back or anything, however if they're going to take it to transfer stuff over at the store then I am concerned what they might do with it before giving it back to me. I'm going to keep my phone as an emergency backup for the time being. I'm hoping to be able to buy the thing online and have it delivered and not have to deal with anyone besides me touching my phone. :)

Ugh, St. Anger makes me wanna puke! Haven't heard the Lou Reed disc yet, not going to go out of my way either.

Lou Reed album is not a real metallica album. It isn't meant to be. They basically made it because they can. I don't think they even expect it to sell.

anyone notice that there is a lot of information confirming only a 32GB model in the US? even in the Verge video review he states that the US will be 32GB and other countries will also have the 16GB variant. This sounds fine to me.

Oh man.... 4G LTE switch gets flipped in my city TONIGHT. If the Nexus comes out before Thanksgiving, it's going to be one hell of a week! (Also I'm on vacation next week. I swear I didn't take vacation to play with the Nexus!)

I'm not saying this in a jerky way at all. but people who will be buying the Gnex won't be having Verizon transfer over anything. Most don't even want them to activate it for us because they handle them like animals.

If you go on the google nexus site it says on the LTE nexus that it will be 16/32gb. Not sure if Verizon will carry both but it is listed on the google nexus site

Here is a question for everyone. I have been a follower of this forum from the Galaxys2/Function/Stratosphere/Celox/Nexus Prime/Galaxy nexus days....anyways... I, like all of you, am extremely excited and can't wait for the release. I was talking up the Gnex to my buddy last night and he said "dude...there is no way that phone will fit in your pocket!" I disagreed, but it got me to thinking....will this monstrosity actually fit comfortably in a pants pocket?

Any input from those with a big android phone already would be great. Thanks Nexicans!

there was a you-tube video embedded some pages back (within the last 2-3 days) showing a demo of the Razr and Gnex fitting in someone's pocket. it will fit - you just can't be wearing any of those girlie skinny jeans... :D

edit: here's the vid

Personally, I wouldn't let them transfer anything, I'd take care of it myself. Depending on your comfort level.

What are you worried about them transferring?

-contacts? if you have set them up in google they'll transfer automagically when you log into the new phone :) (if you don't its WORTH the time to transfer them into google)

- apps? Because of going to ICS I personally plan on doing it the "old" fashioned way and making a list and doing a "fresh" install.

- app data? this one can be tricky, I plan on using titanium back-up for any data (like angry birds) but in general I plan on using it a oppertunity to "clean house" a little bit :)

- phone data? for call history I plan on letting it go bye-bye, for SMS messages I'll probably down load a SMS back-up program from the market

- other stuff photos etc. I'll transfer onto a folder on my computer and decide what I want to "move" to the new phone...

Can anyone tell me what "BB" means. I've seen a lot of you guys using it in the thread. I tried to find it in the FAQ/Guide but wasn't listed. Thanks for the help

So you'll go in, tell them you want the gnex still in the box and will set up everything yourself? They won't argue or try and set it up for you or anything?

Yeah exactly. Even a galaxy tab 7" will fit in the back pocket of jeans. If you are a guy and can't get the nexus into your pocket......your pants are way too tight.

Galaxy Nexus

i don't necessarily doubt that, but i also noticed that in those specs it specifies which specs are from the LTE model next to each spec such as the size and weight. So i'm assuming dimensions are showing for the LTE(verizon) model but that the rest of the specs could relate to future carriers as well which i'm assuming is why they say 16/32GB. I don't mind either way, i think 16GB is plenty and if the price difference is significant than i may just get the 16GB version.
